Brake Cuts Bafang BBS Electric Bikes

Nowadays there's 4 piston hydraulic brakes with the Bafang 3 pin wires built in. A set from China is about £65 but, they only have Left/Front and Right/Rear in those 4 piston ones, bummer! I might get some and just swap the hoses around.

Hi, just wonder if you can advice ... My e-bike has been acting wears like wen I'm pedaling it seems the engine keeps breaking making it harder to pedal? But is not constant is like 60 degrees of a 360 degrees will speaking like?

I'm finding the Zurich brakes here in the U.S. but they don't have Bafang 3-pin connectors, rather just wire ends that need to be spliced into the Bafang harness. My question, do you know which wires on the Zurich match which wires on the Bafang harness by color? I really don't want to spend $300 USD for brakes and screw something up by wiring them wrong. Just a note for anyone interested in using the Zurich brakes on Bafang motors: The Zurich brake levers only use 2 wires. So basically, it's just a normally-open switch and may not come with Bafang connectors, mine didn't. So to connect these to the Bafang motors that normally use 3-wire hall sensors (available online, if they weren't included in your motor kit), you need to cut the hall sensor from it's cable and splice the Zurich wires onto the red and black wires of the Bafang cable. The white wire will not be used. Wired mine up last night and they're working great.

i put on the slx m7000 hydraulic brakes and followed someone's advise to use JB Weld to glue on the cutoff switches and their magnets as well... works very good

I got shimano hydrualic levers and they don't have space to mount the bafang magnetic brake sensor

hi i got ? about the shimano breaks can they be used on a hub motor controller that only has Red and black wire for cut off for the breaks

If there are two wires it is a switch. If there are three it is a hall sensor. You can't mix them. I think you can buy both types. Try e3emv.com

One idea could you not trigger regen by peddling backwards a bit. I remember peddle bake

You can cut the motor in that way, yes. The motors I'm referring to in this video don't do regen.

That is exactaly what I wanted to know, if those Shimano M355 ones on Ebay and Amazon were factory or were modified. I thought it was suspicious that no one showed the part of the Shimano brakes that the electrical part went into it.

I think gear shift sensor is enough, cz when you brake automatically you stop pedaling anyways.
