You mounted that drive wrong. It shouldn't just hang like that. It moves up "flush" with the frame so that the bafang logo is almost horizontal.

Amazing that you have a channel. Bought my BBSHD from Golden Motor over 2 years ago. It has survived 2 bikes and 2 years worth of daily commuting to work. It has caused me to become much more proficient in bike wrenching, but it is an amazing new hobby. I do wish you stocked more parts for it though, as I have had to source many wear and tear items from the US. You helped someone like me with spinal issues get back in to biking. Doc said it would never happen but I even biked all last winter. Keep it up.

Dude.. You need to modify this video! Why? Because the information is incorrect and dangerous; the last shot is proof- the Bafang logo isnt straight because the motor isnt straight, you put the chain back on and modified its length but you didnt check the manual to see that the motor has to be oriented level with the bottom bracket in order not to put unnatural torque stress on both the motor and your frame. Fix it and fix this video!
@goldenmotorNA3 жыл бұрын
@devtank 1 I did not modify the chain at all... 2 my bike has a channel in the down tube for the wires to come out of which prevents the motor from going all the way up 3 I have been using this bike on trails for a while and have not had any issues except for lower clearance I do plan to take the motor out and grind that part down

I think I m gon steer clear of mid bracket motors. front wheel kits have many benefits : - they dont depend on the chain. even if the chain breaks you can still go - way easier to install -fewer tools needed - less likely to run into compatibility issues - its offers two wheel drive, your legpower for the back and electric for the front. - motor is not under the frame, the most exposed place to be, where if its low , going over something may get it banged the only advantage mid drive offers is it doesnt require a torque arm for powerful motors, but I d rather just install a torque arm
