Brake loss at njmp lightning track

24 hrs of lemons race in our infinity v8 swapped Datsun. I lost brakes going into the turn and managed to scrub speed before hitting the tires. The car was fine and we kept racing after fixing the issue. The pins that hold the pads into the brembo calipers lost their retaining pin and came out then the brake pads themselves fell out. So when I got on the brakes I pushed the piston all the way out and was trying to stop with only the rotors. My first crash and was lucky it was minor.

Smashed the hood back down and kept going. The tire wall saved the car. The pins fell out of the calipers and the pads came out the top and had no brakes.
