What about swapping out the master cylinder and booster to a JL? I guess what I’m asking is will the complete JL braking system swap out like the calipers and rotors do. Thanks from a new subscriber, wrbrd .

Can we get a response to this please?? Is the jk master cylinder and booster sufficient for that dual piston setup?

@@ElBrisho He answered the same question in part 2, the rear swap. "The newer JK models have the bigger booster (I forget the cutoff year) but the 17 has the better booster." was his reply. The bore size on 2012+ = 1.0625” bore. I'd say that you'd be fine as is, the Teraflex Delta big brake kit fits both the JK and JL from 07 to 23. To the tune of $2,500+.

What all did you need from the jl besides the caliper and rotors? Did you reuse the jku caliper bracket?

The calipers came as a kit so they had new JL brackets.

@@JustJeep_It ok so I need the jl bracket and the calipers, rotors and pads and it will fit right up after a little trimming of dust cover. I was told as long as I have dana 44 which I do the jl brake setup will work on my jkur

Did you re use the banjo bolts from the JK in the JL calipers?

Unfortunately no..the 15 wheels are too small..spacers probably won't help either..sorry!!

Hard to say but the pedal feels more secure/solid which is a great feeling.

They do but the brake caliper is pretty close to the wheel. I used a one inch wheel spacer to get some distance from the wheel and the caliper. I feel much better doing that. thanks for watching!!!

And then I thought… wait… what if he has a Rubicon and this will only work on a D44?! And then I had a small panic attack. Whew! And thank you again for the excellent video.
