I kind of was hesitant to start talking to her because i was still caught up in my ex and i had people tell me shes not good for me. For a few months nothing really happened between us but after some time we started to really click. Those same people that told me to stay away from her i had considered friends but i found out some things they said about me and came to realize they were fake. I had a bit of a mental slip whenever i did cut them off but i had that girl to fall back on and shes been a big support for me. We are now going to prom together and have been spending nearly every day together finding something new we can do. My life feels like its finally starting to come together now. About a month ago my manager gave me a $3 raise and now im making nearly 2x my state’s minimum wage. I had issues for the past year because of self harm from the break up that were preventing me from joining the military, i ended up finding a work around and if everything works out, i get to enlist May 4th. Now i just feel genuinely happy for the first time in nearly a year :)
