Brakes: machining a brake drum

Nice video it's been 30 years sense I used one of these Ammcos .Took a automotive class in 10th grade of high school I remember being fascinated with the machine.So I picked one up for my personal garage.Great overview .Thanks

Great video!!! A have a lab tomorrow where I have to do this. I have already done the on car lathe which was extremely easy, I have also done it on this same mechine but resurfacing a rotor.

If the drum measured 188mm and the spec is 227mm then the drum seems well under spec, ok to turn.

lot of stuff to go through to use a brake lathe I do them on my engine lathe with a shaft and centering cone and that's it..
