I loved the comic version, Mike Mignola early in his Hellboy art style. My secondary school had a copy of the trade paperback which I picked up a reissue of recently.

Coppola's film is my favourite adaptation. I love Stoker's original novel, so the love story is something I'm not a fan of, but the way Coppola made it & the atmosphere are really top notch. The castle sections really ooze Stoker's atmosphere & the way he used double exposures to get certain effects shots excites me as I use a lot of double exposures in my own photography. I don't really have any merchandise from this film though. I think the Sega Game Gear version would be the same as the Master System version.

It’s on there for me too. I could take or leave the love story as well but, Coppola’s techniques are fantastic and love the whole aesthetic of the film. Yeah, the merch was odd for this one but at least we got some stuff. I think you’re right the Master System game and GG game are identical. Awesome film, have been a fan since I first saw it, that Sega cd looks awful lol, they should have just followed the classic Castlevania format but tweak it for to be more in line with the film, a beat em up would be a neat idea as well. I did not know about the figures mentioned, I do know Funko did some figures/sodas last year if I am not mistaken. Thanks for sharing good sir excellent stuff!

Yeah man, I’ve always been a fan of this one. You’re absolutely right. They had some potential with a game but really missed the mark. The Game Gear version is just okay…but really nothing special. Those figures are wild. I’m still waiting for someone to release some proper 1/12 scale figures from the movie. Thanks for checking it out brother!

Suncoast Video Store i remember that place i use to go one in Columbus Ohio they had some really cost stuff from that period of time way back into the 1990s and i saw those figures also which were kinda of high for me to buy

Yes, Suncoast was a pretty amazing place. They definitely had some one of a kind merchandise there. It’s funny because I remember seeing those Dracula figures there but honestly as a kid there were far better things I had my ion at the time. I remember buying a double pack Sega CD of Bram stocker's Dracula and the Robert Deniro Frankenstein movie. I could never get far in the Dracula game but I remember enjoying the Frankenstein game a lot as it was a weird RPG/Adventure type game. I'm not sure if you have but maybe you can explore some of the merch for that Frankenstein movie.

The occult is all about self gratification. Sex is often intertwined with those who practice it. The character of Dracula is heavy with occult overtones, so the bestiality sex scene is pretty much pitch-perfect. Suncoast looks like an amazing store.

@@2DayRentals Totally, as a kid I was kinda mesmerized by the whole premise. The movie's amazing art design is probably what kept me coming back for more. Dracula and Aliens practically raised me for a time 😅😆
