Holy crap! My first bike back in 1980! At 7yrs old and about 50lbs it is the bike by which all others have been measured throughout my life. Literally the best performing 50cc I've ever been in contact with. (I hear the new KTM 50 is pretty good now) buy this for your kid. You won't regret it!

Man that is awesome! When I was a kid I would have just been in love with that bike. I can just imagine, back in 1980 I was 8 years old and this would have been absolutely awesome to ride. If my folks would have bought me this for my 8th birthday I woulda thought I was in Heaven. 😃

I'm always amazed at the condition of these old bikes, where do the parts come from to restore them? Surely the parts have been out of production on these things for some years? And the best part is they don't just look great, they run great too! Excellent restorations!

Dc plastics for body work I would say... Check them out.
@evanwalker92982 жыл бұрын
NOS (new old stock). If you are patient and look hard, you can find the OEM parts, they’re out there or can find excellent used parts. Aftermarket parts/plastics are not the same and any restorer can tell difference. I’ve successfully restored a ‘76 yz80 (childhood bike) with Yamaha factory new parts/plastics (NOS).

@@iqxiqx9464 450 bucks of engine work, I held off on new silencer. Since very little is available for these bikes aftermarket wise, I'm going to be making an extra long one to take the sting out of cops ears. Good silencers make good neighbors. Back too the point, the 60 scares the shit out of me, water pump seal suck, fins are better for kids play bike, ignition map is too much ramp up too quick. Can't rebuild or find replacement shock(14" )stamped trash. Honda is better with parts availability, and quality. I'm married to the bike now, have title, time invested, 4 kids and only one has outgrown it yet, it should be around for grandkids, if 2beaners are not illegal by then like riding anywhere on public land is here in the beautiful Camden flowers state. I will stick a washer in the pc head pipe to make it more like this cr50.
