Do skeeters still porpoise like hell at about 30 35mph like the old zx210 and 202’s did? Dam near impossible to drive running up creeks on the Ohio River.

I am very curious about the quality of the deck lids and water intrusion. One of the things I didn't like about the ZX series is the lid clamping down on the metal piece that is then screwed into the fiberglass. It just seems like a place where it will get pulled up over time (I don't get a new boat every year) and water will get into the boxes. Are they still doing the same thing on the new FXR???

The design is similar and they still have the aluminum deck that creates a more solid configuration. If you are having water intrusion through the screws you can take them out add a drop of silicone and then that will seal it up when you add the screw back in.

Wow. I love it. Looks absolutely awesome. I still have by 1997 Skeeter ZX 185c with a VMAX 175 that I bought in 2002. I just cannot part with it. It is my baby. It still looks so good. Anxious to get my new Ultrex put on it this spring. Hope you have a great year in 2020.

What prop/pitch comes on them considering the newly designed Hull?? Ik the rangers run better on a 23-24 even with lower rpms. For instance my buddies 18 model 519 w the 225sho only runs like 72mph @5400 with 25P as to where my zx20 runs 75mph w a 26P @ like 61-6200rpm

They typically come with a 26 or 25 pitch prop from a dealer. I run the 25.

Shopping now and been narrowed down to Vexus VX21 or the Skeeter FXR20 or FXR21, after watching many videos it seems the Skeeter is the boat. The Veuxs looks great also but not sure because its such a new line of Bass Boat so I just don't know yet and spending this kind of money on a Bass boat I want something that will hold up and be a true performer on the water. Seems like Skeeter makes the best of the best thus far. Has anyone actually seen the new Vexus VX bass Boat and whats your thought between these two boat manufacturers?

I have never been in a Vexus and only seen one briefly in a show room floor so I don't have much knowledge on that. What I do know is that my FXR is by far the best boat I have ever been in. I am blown away by the ride and fishability of this boat so far.

jhon doe there’s only one minor thing i would change... getting into the battery compartment at the back is a bit tough. I had to change out my battery because the dealer rigged it with too small a battery. You can use a star bit and remove the far left and right panels to allow better access, but a group 29 battery is really difficult to fit in there. If skeeter would increase the size of that hole by a couple few inches it would be awesome. Jhon doe, make sure that your dealer puts a big enough “dual purpose” cranking battery in your boat. I was fishing with youth anglers and got stranded about 3/4 of mile from the boat ramp. I run 2 - 12 inch graphs and one 9 in graph. Some dealers try to save money and will put an interstate group 24 cranking battery to crank the SHO and run everything else... Don’t make my mistake and demand that your dealer install a group 29 or 31 “dual purpose” battery. I ran my ultrex on 10 speed all the way to the boat ramp and was able to run my boat up on my trailer (backed in super deep) with my ultrex. Sucked!!! I went to Walmart and got the group 29 and changed it out and have had zero problems.
