800 miles on the new Vette turning high 10’s is pretty decent I think. I think just letting it break in with a few more miles will improve the performance. Tip of the hat to the ZO6 owner for bringing his car in and challenging the Porsche. Luckily Maddie was grocery shopping and made this “which car is better” contest happen.👍👍🇨🇦

The Porsche is modified. Stock vs stock they would be virtually identical in a straight line but the Z06 would kill it around a track.

That Z06 is gorgeous! I love those base wheels way more than the carbon fiber wheel option. Honestly, a 10.89 is nothing to sneeze at for a stock, naturally aspirated car. Very nice!

I actually got to drive a Z06 on the tracks in Las Vegas at an Exotics Racing place! And yes they are an absolute blast! With the flat plane V8 sitting right off your shoulder they are very loud! With 345 width rear tires they have insane traction and will hook and book!🏎️🤯

I’ve always thought Corvettes were pretty sick. The first one I ever drove was a 75 that had a 454. The fastest one I ever got the opportunity to drive was a C7 ZR1 manual and I’m aware the autos are faster, but I’m all about the feeling of shifting my own gears. I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel of a C8 ZO6 and I’m excited about the ZR1 when it’s out. I’m not a Vette fanboy, but I respect them

I work at GM Bowling Green Assembly in Kentucky I hear 94+ c8 start up a day probably close to half of them are the Z06 and 70 Anniversary. I love hearing that beautiful LT6 engine start

I had a 95 tsi awd that i swapped to a 6 bolt and built. To date the quickest awd platform ive been in by far. Making power isnt the problem with them, and power comes relatively cheap on the 4g63. Its everything putting it to the ground from the trans to the axles thats the issue. I broke all that, alot... Deciding to go to a shep built trans and transfer case and rear diff and the driveshaft shop cv axles is what really sucked, but it finally stayed together. Some suspension work and it was nasty quick in the turns. Idk why that platform works so well but it does. I really did hate the thing though, always broke, and i didnt have enough money to do it right until shortly before i got rid of it.

I don't know if the outcome would change, but I'd really like to see a rematch once the full power of the C8 Z06 is unlocked around 1,500 miles. Peak power is much higher in the RPM than you can get to before the break in period is over.
