Putting Combo in Affinity! We are brewing hard trying to turn Affinity back into a combo deck

@@mauro8981 I was hopeful it would work! The problem is apparently everyone wants to beat the crap out of affinity and my affinity was not prepared at ALL haha

@@eric.ingram I still haven't decided as to whether or not I want to do Ruby Storm at Home or Poison Storm (which I did last year in Chicago). But yeah, Breath Weapon, Cast into the Fire, Vines of Vastwood all sided.

I've been wanting to make the Guilty Conscience + Frilled Deathspitter version of this deck, maybe with Boros energy cards, but affinity makes sense. I got some side-hate last night with the Ruby Storm at Home Deck since I couldn't get an Eel Umbra down because my mono-white opponent had sided in Coalition Honor Guard originally against Gleescale. So my only hesitation at making the Spitter deck affinity-based is due to all the affinity sideboard hate.

i just recorded a spitter storm and it went ok. Will be out next week or up today for members. It was pretty fun!

Really nice brew, Deathspitter is so cool. I thought maybe you could try playing it with Scattershot + indestructible in a storm shell since you only need 10 spells to kill your opponent. What do you think?

There are a couple of 1 mana spells but I wanted to be able to do the kcs + toxin still

Yeah been trying to work out a Frilled Spitter + Guilty Conscience with indestructible spells like Blacksmith Skill and Loran's Escape to give indestructible and hexproof for an instant win. But my problem jmis getting it to be consistent to get the combo With obly two creautures like Spitter (the other being Sun-Crowned Hunters which is way expensive) and only one aura to combo with I wonder if I make it Nya and use the green to dig for combo pieces or if i put in draw discard in red and run like spell pay offs. curious what shell you would fit it in or if you think there is a way to make the combo more consistent?

@@thejesteramongfools I think the problem is that it is a 3 card combo in a 2 card combo world haha

@kalikaiz That is true. but it's only 4 mana, so: Turn 1: Mountain Turn 2: Plains and Prism Turn 3: Untapped Land, Dino, Aura, hold protection until next turn Turn 4 win? You also could win on opponent's turn after turn 3 assuming they attack or damage the Spitter in some way. Probably too slow and folds to an edict but I did like that Blacksmith's Skill can protect the aura as well. If you did add green you could use Tamio's Safekeeping and protect either as well. Maybe it needs like a Gut Shot to start the combo at instant speed as well. Well, I will mess with it some more. Haha Great Video either way btw
