Matt, i am an old reloader. what is so wrong with 308 that i need a caliber that uses modified 308 brass to shoot a 30 cal 308 bullet? im asking because i know a guy just into reloading, younger guy, that thinks this new blackout rd is the stuff.

8.6 BLK shoots .338 cal bullets :D Or do you mean .300 BLK? Effectively .300 BLK for me is useful for shooting subsonic bullets in a semi auto platform and getting it to cycle. Reduced recoil and muzzle flash as well over .308, but in a supersonic full power realm .308 trumps 300 BLK all day no questions about it.

@@BuffRANGE yeah, i get the 300 blk. i load subs for that. i havent looked into 8.6 other than hear a guy talking it up. i wont be getting into 8.6, probably? i just bought a 1911 in 10MM and im loading some. speaking of bullets, do you know of "American Reloading?" they have new and pulled bullets, code MARCH gets 30% off. best price on the little round metal caps, limited selection. and another thing , my buddy and i, well him, has been swapping small rifle and small pistol cap thingees. do some testing. they have pulled powder but i cant tell much about what kinds it is. please give them a look and write back.
