@denisricher13494 жыл бұрын
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas ...Really, gotta be cheaper than using the cutter which is a far costlier machine...
@bryannewburn78914 жыл бұрын
@@denisricher1349 not for the landowners. That would be an expense they would have to cover. They are being paid tonnage for the wood not the brush. An ideal situation would be if there was a market for fuel chips. You could set up a tub grinder and send it all. Unfortunately there isn't much of a market for it anymore.

hey so i have a question that i think you might have a answer to being a logger in US so basically im from the baltics Estonia to be precise i was wondering how does it figures out on the price and everything else like as i understand you need on this treelenght logging a cutter a skidder a prosessor and a loader with every piece of them costing lets say around 500k just easy to follow thats like 2.5 mil in equipment it might and will veri on the price but how does it bay off like we use the cut to length method and our harvester lets say 750k and a forwarder 500k like thats half the price thats 2 machines and 2 operators we can get 500m3 of timber cut and out for the trucks to haul out in a week with mid size machines and like the question is how does it make sense plus we get logs out of anything down to 2 inches or 5 cm on the small end and dont run over or make the logs muddy dirty or something honestly just wondering i love that big equipment you run

@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas4 жыл бұрын
No, just swat it to the side or cut it and roll on. There is so much you don’t touch, if you were mulching it would all get mulched wasting time, fuel and potential hardwood pulpwood one the clear cut.
