Does extending with multiple strings limit or reduce brightness? Eg z-strip limits total brightness after x extensions @lifx

The stock seems very limited at the moment. They've been popular and they're only just out. I think Batch 2 release is tomorrow so fingers crossed you get them soon.

Im a fan of LIFX and have many of their products around the house, i looked at these lights on the weekend however the price put me off as i think most people will need at least 2 to fill a small alfresco evenly especially with only 12 leds.

Hey, I just purchased these for myself and have them all set up however when I use the app, there is no color bar up the top showing me where the colors are in the strand and allowing me to paint them what I want to save my own scenes. The whole bar is not there and I dont know if theres a setting I need to turn on or if it was updated oht of the apps software

These are VERY expensive for how long of a strand they are. I'll get them if the price drops, but for now it's a no for me. Lower the price.

It's true, they're not cheap and I wish they weren't so expensive, but they're still excellent.

@@HiveMindAutomation Also, each bulb isn't strong enough. I would need at least 2 light strips to fill my patio with enough light. But then, I'd have too many bulbs around where it would look kinda weird. 🤔 ugh....

I just bought these and it looks like they’ve severely limited the ability to do custom paint. Instead of the infinite color bar you show it is now a color wheel allowing you to simply pick 3 colors that get mapped to every bulb. Big downgrade from what you show. Did they update app since you uploaded?

Yes, there was an update to the app after I made this video. There's been a few other comments about this. It's disappointing and I'm hoping the feature returns in a future release.

Can't say I've had that problem, but also can't say I've needed to find out. Reality - at least here in Australia - if they refuse to honour the warranty, they'd likely get hauled over the coals by the ACCC.

Sheesh man, far worse than that price? That's by far the worst I've seen on these type of lights. They look nice and all but.. yeah.

I didn't mention in the video, Prices in Australian Dollars. Converted, I paid US $141 Equivalent, MSRP is ~ US $177. The Govee Pernanent Outdoor lights I mentioned cost AU $410 to get into Australia... Wiz, Twinkly and others are cheaper, sure, but the Build quality of the LIFX is the biggest part of my consideration here.
