They have a contract with ThyssenKrupp. Schindler is far more superior than this elevator and has a different design pattern.

Schindler recently modded the elevators @ the IKEA near-me, & Schindler has the contract for that store, but I'm not sure if that's the case for all their stores (at least in America).

I think they are MEI elevators. These elevators act like they have VMI controllers: door close button working after pressing a floor and the floor passing beep. If this is anything like STL, Schindler installed the MEI elevators. I know Ikea either has Kone or Schindler for the contract. Were the escalators Schindler?

Interesting theory. It doesn't seem much like Schindler to have working door controls, but I have seen a Schindler van in the parking garage on a later visit (storage.22408aaron.net/public/schindler%20van%20ikea.jpg ) Yes, the escalator was Schindler.

These look to be pretty nice. Shame I never got to see these during the time my mom lived out here, although I kind of knew they'd have bruiser with double two speed doors. Btw my local IKEA in Milwaukee is only one floor. No parking garage or second floor in the store.

Ground floor is "0" in Europe. Europeans know how to count properly. IKEA keeps their European traditions even in America. :)

Not really related to this video, but I found an interesting square button US elevator in Arlington. I've never seen one with this many floors.
