BRAND NEW | Stagecoach Oxfordshire ADL E40D/Enviro400 MMC, 11759 (YX73 OZG) | Route E1

After only 4 years, the S1 (now also E1) gets another new batch of buses, comprising of 11747-11759. They offer all the same features as the SN69s but with much less comfort! Why they didn’t just go straight to Bristol is beyond me, you know… new buses for a new contract you just won off your rival 🤷🏻‍♂️
With most of the YX73s now in service, the following transfers have happened with the SN69s:
11233-11242 | Bristol (for the 9)
11243-11247 | Oxford (just to aid a vehicle shortage, though I’ve mostly noticed them on 1 and sometimes S7)
11248-11253 | Staying at Witney for presumably H2 and S7 if not also S2. On paper at least, in reality they’ll probably be mixed and matched with the new lot
Note that E1 is a “temporary” new route running for however long the Botley Road rail bridge works are on for, covering the missing section of the S1 as a result of its diversion. The works are said to have been extended until October 2024, though my life experience has taught me to take it with a pinch of salt
