I like both bands a hell of a lot. They make different kinds of music and I respect both. Deja Entendu was made under an independent record label like someone else pointed out and in no way did someone else write the lyrics other than the members of Brand New. Also who ever said that Thrice is not good live needs to go to a concert, they are one of the best live bands that I have ever seen.
