Let us know how you like the one axle road tractor compared to a 1 ton dually. I think the semi is a better way to go. More power, air brakes, big sleeper.

Yes it's known as a Shipshe trailer built by Shipshe Welding in Shipshewana Indiana

Look up Shipshe trailers in shipshewana. They have a price list for everything theu offer

Seems like they derate these a little at 26k which I can't figure out. It should have a 30k GVWR with a pair of 15k's under it at least. Some trailer makers go a little higher even than the axle ratings. What's it weigh empty?

Might be done that way to keep a person from overloading it not really sure why. 10k is the unloaded weight

Hey Shawn, what’s the GVWR on this trailer I just picked up my 2020 shipshe trailer from Saint cloud Minnesota my GVWR is 14,000 on the title, sticker plate says 12000 GVWR, the axles are 15k, which they de rated , will I be able to plate it to 44k, or do I need to contact Shipshe to have them increase the GVWR to 25,999k, I had my truck and trailer Weighed in at 21,000 pounds

The GVWR is 26,000 on this unit I would definitely have a new data plate from shipshe made as you may find a DOT who puts you OOS for being over weight with 3 vehicles

@@tomscobra2003 no it should be easy. Go in person for way faster service. Also know that horizon will charge you 195.00 for orientation. There are way better companies for muti haul than them. Mapletree, Bennett, Star Fleet and INtransport (NOT Indiana) just to name a few

One thing I am becoming increasingly curious about is how guys actually pay for or finance these trailers. They are expensive and you can't just go get a regular auto loan for one from your local bank branch. You can pay cash for a piece of commercial equipment of course but are guys really dropping $30k+ cash? I doubt it. Commercial equipment loans are hard to qualify for if you're just a 1-truck nobody. Full Circle told me they wanted several years of track record and like at least 5 open lines of credit reporting to the bureaus before they would even talk to me.

For me full circle wanted one years bank statements. My local bank was willing to finance it as well. I also know that some credit unions will finance it as well. You are correct about getting a commercial loan, that proces is a pain

@@camperhauleru812 Now on the other hand it seems like all the gooseneck trailer brands (Big Tex, PJ, Load Trail, etc.) can be financed through Sheffield as just a personal loan, I think, which probably has easier lending standards. Sort of like being able to finance a 1-ton dually as a personal use vehicle is much easier to get approved on than say, a used 379 Pete for the same price. They know you're going to be using it to haul for hire which is risky business to lend on. A trailer like Shipshe or Take3...if you want your name on the registration and title it's tough. It's either qualify for commercial financing or have the cash. Most guys I see pulling those probably are just leasing them from Horizon or something like that, which is a rip off. I've looked into that too.
