Great Video. You can spend alot of money on a PCP. What you get for your money with the Airforce brand is amazing. I have a Condor .22 with a talon Tunes Moderator and a Talonp .25 with night vision. Add a regulator and they are tack drivers. The key to these airguns is heaver pellets and understanding more air is not always better. I rarely miss with my setup. LOVE THESE GUNS. Made in America.

Airforce airguns are Awesome. Great accuracy very powerful and the SS models are pretty quiet. I absolutely love my Airforce Condor SS .25. It is literally shooting multiple pellets right behind each other in the exact same spot in my steel shot box at thirty yards. When it's set at middle to high power hits it hard enough that it rings my shot box like a bell

Air gun depot sells you the $1100 + Airforce Texan but than they refuse to answer their phones or return a text when you call to let them know it broke down. When you buy an expensive quality product and it quits working in one month you expect a quality company to at least call you back. Has been over 4 days now. Not real happy with their response time. By it somewhere else.

@Biffo12622 жыл бұрын
I was handed a Gunpower Stealth the owner had given up on as pellets kept jamming in the barrel. He sent it back twice and they returned it both times as 'no fault' found. However they must have used their own bottle as that is where I found the fault. The top hat had been screwed right down so the valve wasn't opening fully and the valve seat was scored causing a hefty leak. The top hat adjustment was simple enough but how the valve seat got scored is a mystery as the owner swear blind he hasn't removed it and if he had it should have been picked up by the importer when it was returned and that's why I suspect they never even bothered to look at it. I removed the valve from the bottle and using an electric drill I inserted the valve stem into the chuck and reground the valve seat using Solvol Autol. It's a fine metal polishing paste and just perfect for polishing a brass valve seat. After 5 minutes careful polishing it looked fine under a magnifying glass so I reassembled it and bingo; perfect. 8fps variance on a 10 shot string at 11.7fpe. 10 bar drop from 200 bar gave me 15 shots so I reckon about 15O shots in the sweet range down to 100 bar. It's blindingly accurate too. No more leaks either. It's not an aesthetically pleasing gun to my mind but it is light (with a red dot) and easy to hold so it isn't as tiring for me to use at 74 years of age as my own guns. He handed me the gun saying he'd had enough of it and didn't really want it back but I suspect he was more disillusioned by the fire UK after sales service. It was a simple repair and shouldn't have taken them more than 30 minutes to sort out. Now he's full of enthusiasm for it again now he's found someone cares about how they repair. Damn!! The only thing that bothers me about it is the basic way you can adjust the power and, to cap it all, on the gun. Just loosen the the two Allen screws in the top hat and screw out for more power, in for less. To my mind this makes this gun illegal under the VCR act. I believe the import 12fpe valve for the UK should have a fixed top hat but this is easily adjustable on the fly. That's a bit naughty. My only solution is to alumium weld the top of the screw holes once I am happy it is a permanent fix. The plugged holes can always be drilled out for any further repair and that should satisfy the legal aspect......I hope. These Shadow valves are so hard to get hold of but I have ordered a fixed vent Condorvalve from China AliExpress but it remains to be seen if it fits the bottle AND the smallest vent size is 4.5mm. I intend to thread the inside of the vent and make smaller vent threaded inserts out of Delrin. I can experiment with hole sizes to give me different size insert to give different energy outputs as at 6fpe this would make a superb bell target gun and a quiet back yard paper puncher with the ability to swap out the insert for hunting power in a couple of minutes. I'm surprised I haven't found something similar done already on the forums.

When will they make a repeater . What are your thoughts on dieseling the Texans or in general for that matter
@airgundepot6 жыл бұрын
We will be the first to announce it when AirForce Airguns releases a repeater! Dieseling is almost always a bad thing when it results in detonations, and we never recommend doing it on purpose. In spring guns it will often damage the mainspring and sometimes the seal also. PCPs don't diesel when firing, but if oil or grease make it into the air tank the pressure and heat of filling can cause the dieseling to be deadly!
@hardworkingamerican88476 жыл бұрын
Airgun Depot In those spring guns couldn't you just upgrade the spring and beef up the seals . I saw a seemingly competent guy using a single shot .22 break barrel I believe and it was croning at 1140 without Vic's vapor rub and 1400+ with . He was very methodical and showed how to only put the grease on the cupped end of the pellet being careful not to smear it around . Also watched a 3 part video on upgrading the Texan 457 with a 4500 psi canister with 2 upgraded springs , a medium and heavy . The results were impressive to say the least . I think the Texan 457 big bore is at the top of my list along with another companies full auto .25 for whatever wants to be an idiot and come creeping at night , that hasn't happened yet and hope to God it never does . Looking forward to more air gun tests , thanks and take care .
@airgundepot6 жыл бұрын
If you are willing to replace the spring and seal on your break barrel and void the warranty then go ahead! The other problem is that pellets are almost never accurate above 1000 fps. Yes, the 4500psi kit for the Texan is impressive!

Great video! I believe the Texan with a fully shrouded barrel (Sound Lock) comes now in 3 calibers: 308, 357, 457. It's a wrench made by AirForce. You can get them directly from them. However, you can often get the bottle off without the wrench by loosening the set screw and then twisting the bottle counterclockwise until it breaks loose. Then you can finish unscrewing the retaining nut.

And it needs to be replenished with air pressure? What am I not understanding here? Why does this even exist?

If you are referring to the Texan, it is a gun designed purely for hunting. Instead of the 15ish foot pounds your typical Crosman or Gamo break barrel makes, you are getting 500 foot pounds, enough for hunting wild pigs and deer.
