Could you show a video on how to tune the power dial all the way up? I rotated the dial so far up you cannot see it anymore is that full power? Or as you demonstrated is full power where you had it set at in the video on the tuning window .

Good informative video. I'm new to PC airguns,can these be left charged and ready to go for days at a time like for deer hunting or does it hurt them in any way.

PCPs should be stored with air in the tanks. For long term storage leave at least 1000psi in the tank, and if you are using them at least occasionally leave them completely full and ready to go.

Would you please review the Texan SS in .357 caliber. I cant find a sound/noise level in DB anywhere on the net. Everybody is hipped up about .45 cal but a lower caliber will improve the long range shooting accuracy, will be more quiet, probably close enough to backyard friendly, and the pellets are a lot less expensive. I would really appreciate a sound level test on it.

I am new to your channel but this person doing the review made be nervous. He is trying to do to good of a job and just needs to relax. I read some of the other reviews and read that he is new to this and I do agree we need to give him a go at it. But like I said he needs to just relax and just let things flow because I am a nervous person and its as if I am listening to myself. I am not hating on this guy whatsoever I am giving positive feedback after all who isn't nervous when apparently they have some shoes to fill including myself like I stated. I just went to the range to test them for you, and the Hatsan Hercules Bully in .30, which is the same as the Hercules but with only one bottle, had a high of 102.5 db while the Texan SS .45 had a high of 100 db. The Texan did sound a little louder to my ears though. I don't have one open right now but the Bulldog is a little louder than either of these.

As far as I can tell, this design is not pressure regulated, so every shot will be pushed with less pressure than the shot before it. Am afraid the same is true for the Hatsan Hercules, except the drop should be less pronounced due to double the air tanks. Does anyone offer a 45 cal that is regulated? ... or will that not matter until we can charge them up well beyond 3000 PSI? Thanks

I'd like to purchase this gun in a smaller caliber, either .30 or .357 caliber. What stops me from buying it is the noise level. I have not see any sound test for smaller calibers. Would you please let me know the sound level of the .30 caliber and the .357 caliber. I hope it is less than 100 DB. For me, the whole idea about a big bore air rifle is the quietness and back yard friendly; Otherwise a regular rifle is twice more powerful and costs less than half of on air rifle. They're identical aside from the barrel size and caliber, the .30 caliber will provide with the higher velocities but lower FPE, the .30 caliber version will also provide you with more shots per fill because the pellets are smaller diameter and lighter, you can use heavy loads to increase FPE but you lose velocity, if you're going to shoot anything bigger than the .30 i would recommend the Texan LSS as it offers a big bore .45 caliber pellet and high-velocity courtesy of the TX2 valve.

Charlie Skinner there are a lot of great hinting opportunities using air rifles. Lots urban areas allow people to hunt with a bow or an air rifle. Hunting with an air rifle can really make one hone his shooting skills by learning to breathe or reading the wind, judging distance to name a few. It is a great sport weather you punch paper or hunt. There is something almost therapeutic about air gunning. BTW I have a couple of 243s and I love them. LOL.

I understand why airguns are good, I own a couple, I really like how small a hole my .177 leaves in pelts. I was just wondering would having a gun with not as much power (The Big bore airgun) be risky when trying to make an ethical shot on a deer?

It only takes about 250 FPE to ethically take a deer. It's up to the shooter and his knowledge of his air rifles capabilities of taking an animal down at an ethical distance. If you have a gun the is marginal at best maybe 45-60 yards. A higher end of the energy level maybe it to 150 or 200. I know what my Texans are capable of but I choose to stay inside of 125. That's just ME. Hope this helps .

I am confused on why the video states not to use .177 caliber pellets in the Texan SS, the Texan SS only comes in three calibers, .30 .357 and .45 so why would anyone even attempt to use .177 caliber pellets? Aside from that i love the video and it was a great selling point when selecting my first PCP rifle, the Texan SS doesn't need a hard sell and speaks for itself.

There are three ways of filling a PCP. Pump, HPA compressor (not a shop compressor), or air tank. The Texan uses so much air you aren't going to want to pump it up by hand, so you will need either a tank or a compressor. Tanks can be filled at a fire department, paintball shop or dive shop. Just remember your going to need a way to fill the tank also & depending on how you go on this can either be costly or cheap. Their is a China air compresser that can be used for around $ 400 which includes shipping, check out Yin Hang air compressers or you can buy one from Airgun depot for around $1,200. I have done some checking & the Yin Hang is a good way to go. You can check on ebay on tanks but do your resurch before buying.
