Carlos Salas and Nick Soper star in this short film about two guys who act on the fact that they are incredibly attracted to one another. In the aftermath, one of them seems to have second thoughts.
We appreciate all your comments...for those of you who have asked the AWARDS we won are: Best Short FIlm, Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival; Best Alternative Short, New York International Independent Film and Video Festival; Best Men's Short, Pittsburgh LGBT film festival. Both Nick Soper and Carlos Salas were nominated for best actor awards at Method Fest...neither of them won but out of 60 possible, two of the six nominated were these two talented actors and we're very proud of them both.
And...again...the song at the end is Nicola Quilters SLEEP, DREAM, WAKE
As far as our sexuality and our sexual identity...we like to say...on the Kinsey scale of 0-6 10% are gay, 10% are considered str8 and a whopping 80% were said to be somewhere in between. Those that have worked on and continue to work on our projects fit this demographic precisely.
Thanks again!

"Shit..." - You know? When you finally realize the whole meaning of that feeling you got down there, which has been supressed for so long. The denying of something that was more than real! When you finally understand that no matter who you are, or with whom you felt that - it was for that moment the very best thing that could happen to you! And for one second you feel sorry and ashamed that you have pushed aside this wonderful aspect of your life. But in the end, you couldn't be more proud and happy for you, for discovering your real -self! It's been a few months since I came out and I swear to God I am such a happier person now! I now have a boyfriend, who I really love and I just couldn't be more grateful that I have finally accepted myself! Embrace your nature people, and share that wonderful feeling with others too! Love can never be wrong! P.S: I come from a Christian, religious family. Nonetheless I have been accepted by all of my friends and relatives. Just wanted to point out, that anyone should be free to express themselves, no matter Religion, Background, Age, Sex or Skin colour. Peace

I showed this to a young guy who was struggling with the sudden realization that the capacity to love a man might be an important part of him. He nodded throughout, and Iʻm pretty sure itʻs helped him come to grips with things. Artists always want to know if their work means something to another personʻs life. This film did.

+James Dean James, thank you so much for sharing this. This particular film opened the 2008 Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival (where it also won best short film). Opening night's are often sold out and the crowd tends to be mixed. Both actors were there and during the Q & A that followed a 16 y.o. boy stood up and said; "I don't have a question, I have a comment. I'm 16 years old, I just came out to my family and friends last month and I have to say this is the first gay film that I've seen that has made me feel good about being gay." It was a special moment for all of us, including the audience who were quite vocal in their response to him. Really the intention of TBBMG is to try to put forth a world through film, that will help others, like your friend and this 16 year old young man, to find a piece of themselves within the story and give them the strength to be true to who THEY are as gay men whatever that might happen to be. I really appreciate your taking the time to post this. It means a lot to those of us involved and I cannot hear enough of these kinds of stories. Thank you!

I have watched this many, many times over the last few years. I even showed it at a Gay-Straight Alliance meeting at a local college. Attraction is more than the sum of ones parts. The intimacy and raw emotion drawing from it is palpable. Give me more movies like this: short and bursts right through to your heart in such a way that you leave with a warm heart and moist eyes. Loved it.

Stuff like this happens all the time. I think society puts way too much pressure on straight men's shoulders sometimes. They have this code on how they should talk, move, act, etc. It must be exhausting to always act accordingly. Never being allowed to show weakness. And then they meet a guy, like in the film, who won't judge or ridicule them for opening up or share their feelings. It's no wonder it leads to sex, not because of lust, but because of the desire of intimacy with that person. Having seen men like this, even from a young age, made me reflect on this for a long time. It's very beautiful and yet very sad at the same time.

This is one of those short films that stuck with me years after I watched it. I'm so glad I managed to stumble upon it again today. The acting feels real and genuine. No camp, no jokes, just talking and connection. We all wish to find such a connection. Sadly, this isn't the reality for many in the gay community especially as we grow older. There is still much prejudice, dismissal, and narcissism within our own community. It's a sad vicious circle. This movie gives us hope that there's someone out there for each of us.

Ever since I was a young man in my twenties I've wanted to work with people struggling with their sexuality, from teens all the way to adults. This short film just reignited that spark. Some parts might seem unrealistic when viewed superficially, or from a "this convo wouldn't even happen in real life" point of view. But they still got their message across. Why can't we be more honest and open and ever so slightly dramatic with the ones we share intimacy with? I'd love to have that, even with the risk of awkwardness floating around afterwards. I cried a bit while watching this. I just really loved how understanding the character from Salinas was, instead of feeling insulted and antagonized by his partner's initial aversion. If only truth-telling and realization didn't come with the fear of hurting the other person, or hurting one's self. We should just let it all out, and seal it with a big fucking hug (or kiss, or whatever interaction you prefer)

This was very realistic. The poor guy who couldn't, didn't want to accept it, was very convincing with his confused emotions ; lucky for him, it happened with someone more grounded and self-aware. The best part was the end when they got physically close and the guy said :: _This feels nice._ His eyes filled with tears and he said :: _Shit._ I don't think I've ever heard the word used to express "regret" that someone liked something but really didn't want to ... Very good actor !

Just amazing little film! I am in my 70s and we grew up being told what sick perverts we were by society, religion, teachers, family, 'friends.' It's too late for most of us to enjoy the change in attitude to us by most of society. I am glad for all the younger folks. Fewer of them will be persecuted, attacked (and killed) for being who they are.

With very few exceptions we ALL are NORMAL... but DIFFERENT. Yes, some people are just evil, twisted, severely damaged and dangerous. But most of us land somewhere along the endless continuum of the human sexualities. It's just the lies, myths, rules and regulations of our various (fucked up) cultures and religions that screw with our heads and mess up our lives. I applaud, with all my heart, this video and its message. I'm 80 now but it's taken most of that time just to figure out how badly we're screwed with in our societies. I'm disgusted that we're used as TOOLS of the STATE and treated as GRIST for the (economic) MILL... just so the rich can become the ultra-rich. Enjoy each other to the fullest no matter what you have between your legs and damn the rules and regulations made by the control freaks in government and religions. Set yourself FREE.

I really enjoyed watching this short film. I think more people should be like that. Instead of defining themselves as gay or straight. It shouldn't matter about that. It should matter about how you feel about that person when you're with them. So I think everyone should watch this. I'd recommend this short film to everyone I know.

Powerful. Being out after 36 years in the closet, I long for the kind of connection portrayed in this film. It isn't about lust, it is about an emotional connection that overpowers everything else in life. If only the gay community were more about the emotional, and less about the physical.

Don't talk about the gay community like that. We're not all the same and straights ppl also have lots of issues when it comes to meet new ppl. I've met so many gay guys who were so faithful, and many straight men and women doing lots of shit. It doesn't depend on your sexual orientation, it depends on each and every single person separately.

Society is such that a meeting of this type is super special! Many Gay men and Women do not get the opportunity to ever meet Mr/Miss/Mrs Right! Our environment for the most part is structured for the str8 people and this is why the young man from Fort Wayne is having some issues wondering why he liked what happened! If the chance comes by for this to happen to you please DO NOT allow Society restaints to prevent you from falling in love...

Certain parts of dialogue are rather graphic, but when the one guy stands up and asks "what just happened? " My first thought was, uh...duh, it looks like you two just had sex." Considering he was the most in denial, and ironically, made the first move...and what a move!) For some, bi, gay, lesbian, transgendered or straight, it doesn't matter, whenever another person touches your heart, as the message here suggests, this culture has made this into a sickness or take your pick. For some, love is gender and color blind. Can the labeling and shame, enough is enough!

At least not in this lifetime. Maybe the next if there is such a thing. Do I regret it?? well lets say I am very sad most times because of the regrets. So, If you find and or have a chance to do something like this video then I say just go for it but always be careful.

To a certain extent, I believe the natural sexual orientation is comparable to spectrum, gay and straight are the bipolar and belong to the minority, while majority of us are along the gradient of sexual preference. Like we all have certain point of gay or straight natures in us, however because the society promotes hetero lifestyle that made the gay parts stand and fight alone themselves, because no one would want to choose to be gay to make their lives difficult at the end of the day. But no matter what, love is love, and love is great. It always counts, even if it is merely an ephemeral moment.

Skyjact beautifully put. Actually Alfred Kinsey's revolutionary work of the 50's stated just this...that 10% of the population is exclusively heterosexual 10% consider themselves exclusively homosexual and a whopping 80% are actually somewhere in between.
