Baroque trumpets had no valves and had tubing twice as long as today. Players were able to play most notes by always using the upper register where the partials are close together.

Allen the alien. I remember a few years ago telling my trumpet teacher (quite an accomplished orchestral player himself) that I was going to see Allen at a master class at a nearby university. (Actually a 3-hour drive for me, but well worth it.) My teacher's response: "Allen Vizzutti ?? He's not HUMAN !!"

I remember when Mr. Vizzutti had a residency at Texas Tech and a lot of us trumpet players had a chance to have a lesson or two with him. Hands down the best musical advice I have ever received, “don’t play for the sake of playing, play to make yourself feel something”

Mr Vizzutti it has been awhile, I remember playing fire dance every night until I couldnt play anymore. Your ability to remain a huge talent in the world of trumpeting is second to none!

Yeah, things are good when they look and sound easy. 😁

The best part is that he only misses the one single note (concert A) which is impossible to play open on a Bb trumpet.

I’ve seen someone bending down to A from Bb. Crazy!!!
@armandogiordano122611 ай бұрын
@@wisarut.nualkaew oh yeah, it's definitely possible to bend it, but if someone says that it can be played open, clean and in tune in such a high and fast passage I'll have to listen to believe!

more high more easy to play open valve with full sound, but his facility to get there that is the real challenge. Certainly, he can do it two octave less like nobody @@armandogiordano1226
