Yes I do realise but that sort of riding is already banned in most of Europe and it won't be long before it's banned in the rest of Europe as well. I know, I know......doom and gloom but I've been around long enough to see trail riding getting hit from all sides in the UK (I'm a TRF life member) and most recently in Spain. I'm just saying that publicising it in videos just serves to galvanise the "antis" into action.

I'm now going to piss on the bonfire and say that all this video does is encourage riders to ride in places that they're not allowed which has the effect of governments banning all riding everywhere. It's started to happen in France and Spain. Already banned from Germany and Austria. The TrailRidersFellowship in Britain has been fighting for the right to ride for years but is gradually losing the fight. So thanks KTM. Very soon you will have destroyed your target market for this bike.

While the concept of a dedicated single track bike is, KTM missed the mark. I love the weight reduction, but 24hp is just underpowered. In fact, the Ossa 300 Enduro is 5lbs lighter and makes double the torque, and you don't have to give up suspension performance to have it. Or you can have their 280 Explorer, very similar to this, but it weighs only 165lbs and, again, with far more torque/power.

Don't need to have a lot of power or a nervous engine on that kind of bike. A 4 stroke is heavier and bigger, but less noisy, more reliable, and has more torque. It matches more with the philosophy of the bike.

@VomBlitzGetroffen Those bikes has just a bit more then half the power of an other Enduro of the same engine CC size. So they probably only drinks the half amount of gas too.

and i dont know if you know this, but they're riding what most offroad riders know as "single track" or in simpler terms"real trail riding." riding quad or jeep trails is not trail riding. this riding takes skill,endurance. any idiot can call himself a rider and ride around his truck at the dunes. thats not real riding and those people are not real riders. Single track is what it sounds like, trails wide enough for a single tire, and often tough and brutal, but thats what this bike is made for

HAH! Ok yes, a two stroke engine of the same cc will produce more horsepower, but it doesnt have to be violent. A 2 stroke engine can be set up so its calmer than any bloody 4 stroke turd. A 4 stroke less noisy?! Are you for real?! Theyll be heard for miles and miles.

Not putting two strokes down in any way, i ride a 2 stroke, but these bikes are meant for four stroke power. They need the bottom end power that gives you immediate power from a standstill, which a two stroke will be more likely to bog out unless your a god with the clutch

looks cool, but it should be called KTM 350 trailride or trials....didn't see them jump the bike more than like 10ft. Wonder if the suspension is any good or if this is just another dual spot w/o a headlight made lighter?

Awesome riders, the bike must be good too, but it's the rider that makes all the difference. Obviously, they want you to think that if you buy one of those bikes, you will ride like this....yeah right! Nice video anyway!

@MotocrossLifeStyle the ktm exc-f is more a race enduro with much power and so on... and the ktm 350 freeride is just for smooth riding the power is smoother and you can play more with a littlebit like a trailbike

@aidnmx, Hi Du hast schon recht, es gibt mit Sicherheit Bereiche in denen ein Motorrad nichts zu suchen hat, und die hier gezeigte Art zu fahren kann man auch nicht mehr als "Endurowandern" bezeichnen. Gegen gemütliches Rollen auf einem Feld oder Waldweg in ökologisch nicht so sensiblen Bereichen ist eigentlich nichts zu sagen. Und selbst wenn Du auf einem Singletrail fährst, richtest Du ggf. weniger Schaden als ein Wanderer an....besonders wenn man den Transfer mitberechnet.

@OldschoolDT Ich bin leidenschaftlicher Mountainbiker und selbst wir werden in den Bergen schon kaum noch geduldet, da wir die Wege zerfahren usw. Denke das wird für Motoräder noch weniger möglich sein. Ich fände es persönliche auch nicht schön. Die Motoren und der Lärm nehmen einem die ganze Ruhe in den Bergen. Von den Kosten für die Wegpflege ganz zu schweigen.. Irgendwie auch schade, aber da einen Kompromiss zu finden wird wohl sehr schwer..

Schade nur das Endurowandern in Europa immer schlechter praktizierbar ist (In Deutschland praktisch gar kaum noch realisierbar), obwohl es für mich nicht nachvollziehbar ist, das man gegenüber Skifahren, Wandern oder anderen Aktivitäten so benachteiligt wird.

Already have and rode from Denver to Las Vegas and back taking in such passes as the Kebler, Cottonwood, Engineer, Tincup, Ophir, White Rim trail, etc.. Brilliant all round.

Nice! Great concept. Not everybody needs a "race" bike. Having fun is okay ;) So the engine is all low-end with great torque, and really quiet? And it's way lighter than most mx bikes of same cc ? Really, I don't think it needs more power. KTM got it right. I approve and will save up!
