No, Jimmy, this is the best aviation channel in all of youtube, not the worst. Aviation videos on youtube are 60% airplane watching by non-pilots, 39% owners who basically just say "here's my super expensive, perfectly working airplane" and that's it, and then there's you in the other 1%, showing how this stuff actually works, what you can and can't do with/to an airplane, what it takes to own one, and other useful information and fun "will it start" kind of stuff. You rock, keep it up! P.S, as of this writing, your dislike count is currently at 1, thanks to the "return youtube dislike" chrome plugin

As a "car guy" it's fascinating to view this parallel universe. Like, driving down a residential street in your friggin' airplane, box of tools and brakleen in the back seat, dodging garbage cans, then just pull up in some person's driveway to wrench on a pile? I.... kinda love it, but my brain is just confused.

Great channel. I flew with my dad every moment I could as a kid and even as a young adult. A Stinson Station Wagon, a 172, a Skyhawk (rear windows!), a V-tail Model H Bonanza, a Debonair, and two Barons. He went on to get his commercial ticket but never did fly commercially. I did ground school and a bunch of dual time, but life got in the way and flying took a back seat to small kids and a career that didn't involve flying (except in many commercial jets). At 68 it may not be too late for me to check this one off of my bucket list, but in the meanwhile Jimmy's World is an entertaining alternative. My dad, the Marine Corp Gunny and Korean War veteran, fought his last battle last month at 91. He was buried with full honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. He is somewhere right now in the pressurized Baron all trimmed up and cruising at 23,000 feet and not at all worried about 34 gallons per hour. Fly 'em straight and land 'em soft, dad. Those hours and hours in the air with you were good times.

Greetings from Denmark, Jimmy 👋😁 As a 58y old "hangar flyer" , with 13 y as a camo-assistant for 5 commercial ga-planes and my basic aircraft mechanic course done in '19 (but without the practical training, since noone here would hire an "oldtimer" like me), I gotta love your channel❣️😁 Allthough being a Cessna nut, I cheered for Brandon, cause that model was as basic as they come, and the undercarriage with its rubber dampeners, is sturdy (but not exactly comfy) on grass runways. Too bad, that he was so infected with corrosion 😵😝 Thank you for the best freakin' show on the internet - you are living my dream ❣️

The Sierra, and others in the Musketeer line, may not be speed demons, but that wide, roomy cabin though.... For those curious, the Continental IO-346 was produced solely for the Musketeer for four years. So, yeah, not the most common engine around. Also, even though this plane is a write off, there is a split cowl modification that can be performed so you don't have to remove the prop to get the front of the cowl off.

.Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

@34:34 I didn’t know if I was watching Jimmy or Derek. The lack of vice grips have it away though lol. Derek with VGG is on of my absolute favorite YT channels. I just found this channel, throughly enjoying it though! My wife and two kiddos will be planting a church in Alaska in about 18 months. My goal is to get a 4 seat high wing tail dragger before hand but not sure if it will happen. Keep up the good work my friend, thank you for the content and God Bless.

First channel i have seen that truly recognised that KZbin "changed" their policy to "suit a narrative" in regards to the dislike feature.....Truly blatant attempt to dictate to others how they should think about stuff....With 70-100million people who "sit on the other side of the fence" i am so surprised there isnt enough or more recognition of this fact....I truly love you skirting the edges of what they believe to be "proper" without getting yourself a ban..... LETS.......GO.....brandon". By the way love the references to VGG.

Now I drive a semi for a living but would much rather be flying which gas been my life long dream. Would be honored to met ya sometime. Love your channel.

Love your projects. They remind me of a cousin who was a crop duster, but also watched aviation publications and when he could find 3 or more .... say..... Cessna 120s that crashed within a 500 mile radius he'd call the owners, wheel and deal with the insurance companies, and if the prices were right he'd send a flatbed truck out to load up the wreckages and bring them back to his hanger in Alabama. Then he'd built one plane from the pieces, They'd have a red strip here, green stripe there, and some fabricated panels as needed. Once he finished and got enough air time on it to get it certified, then came the paint and he'd then sell it for a tidy profit.

My experience with bendix mags.. if it sits for more than a month, the points need cleaning. I carried a burnisher in my wallet for years, just for that reason. Frankly, the past videos you did, I was incredulous that you got them to start without cleaning points.

I love working on cars and bringing them back from the dead when they are on the brink. The way Jimmy does the VGG bit to forgotten airplanes is fascinating and ultra cool IMO. Planes tho there's no where to pull over if she decides to throw a fit on the way home.....lol. Everything about them is just so damn expensive which is a damn shame as I wish it werent such an elite club. I'll bet there are alot of folks who would love to get into flying but just cant swing the price tag even on some serious piles. 310 prop for 30k??? C'mon man!

My Dad used to own and fly a Musketeer. After a "Professional" 0-time engine overhaul, and airframe annual. We lost power in a cylinder mid-flight. We were at the halfway point of about a 15 minute flight. So on three cylinders, we headed back and landed, HOT. He locked up the brakes the entire length of the runway, leaving the left wheel with flat spot a couple of inches deep.

Another small cessna airplane flipped over at the end of the runway and exploded. The man on board was from Arkansas and was picking the plane up after buying it from Wichita Falls, Texas. I'm glad you fully check your aircraft out before taking off. I've seen you give those planes a thorough check out and that's great. Be safe, have good flying, which you do. Such a great pilot and mechanic you are Jimmy!

Being an old retired auto mechanic and knowing virtually nothing about airplanes other than flying around with friends in Cessna 172s earlier in my life, I am enjoying your forays into getting tired old airplane engines restarted and learning about all the wonderful government regulations on their operation. Recently I moved to much closer to you at Lake Panasoffkee where most of the "flying around" with airplane engines is on airboats. By the way, at marker #50 you were wondering what the "potato" was. That is affectionatley referred to as an "air potato" which is a highly invasive plant found in abundance slightly farther north (like Jacksonville). Don't try to plant it elsewhere or you will NEVER get rid of it.
