It's a little sad that these young guys actually think their social media posts give them leverage in these negotiations. I get it, they have nothing else they can do in the NFL, it's not like the NBA, but it doesn't seem to ever move the needle for owners and it just turns some fans against those players. Aiyuk has shown what he's worth over the last couple of seasons. The numbers he got last year, despite being on a stacked offense that isn't a pass heavy offense, should be enough for him to get paid.

Aiyuk is family to the faithful, and if you guys can't come to an agreement it will be painful. The only problem I have is I think he needs to remember the Team he's on is a SB caliber team so he could end up with the money but on a team that is painful to be on like T. I’m someone who became a 49ers fan after living there (I originally from Washington DC and loved when the Redskins would beat SF’s arse but that’s beside the point) The one thing I realize that me being a converted 49ers fan versus the various homegrown varieties of Bay Area fans, whether therefore the Warriors or the 49ers or the sharks, is that they the team over the player I’m not that way. Calm down, company man, Brady had all kinds of endorsements coming in, and he is the QB, which is a different type of leadership. You are talking about a young player getting his 2nd contract. I don't know any productive WR that doesn't think like this. Brady was building a legacy, just like Mahomes, so it makes sense for them to keep good players around.
