Being an old kicker, I must say I love a great field goal and Brandon Aubrey's kick would have been good from 70 yards and that was AWESOME! It's nice to know he could win a game from that far out and I'm sure he will break the record this year for sure. Go Cowboys!!!

What you failed to mention, the ball on that 66 yard kick, hit the net. That is why it was so spectacular.

Yes, a great point!! .. thank you!

The reason that Trey's slide was spotted the way it was is because when a quarterback slides feet first, giving himself up, the ball is spotted where he starts his slide, not where he lands.

It was a good spot. They spot the ball where he begins the slide motion, not where he hits the ground.

Long punts and long extra point kicks , Right. So what’s in the game balls?

It’s preseason they are not even trying give me a break great kick but I won’t be impressed until he does that when it counts

If you know J.T.kicks those in pre game all the time.Ive been at games and seen him do it.Pre season is more like practice,if he does it in a win/lose situation then it'll be impressive.

Nice kick with nothing riding on it! Tucker’s was a regular season game winner! This kick was a practice game.
@georgeplimpton94292 ай бұрын
Only one problem - Aubrey's doesn't count, it wasn't during an actual game, only preseason. Let's see if he can do it when it REALLY counts, THEN I'll be impressed. I've seen men kick 70 yarders out on the practice field with no big deal. When the pressure is ON and it COUNTS, then we'll see.

Gonna need all the field goals you can get against the Eagle's D this year !!!

When the qb starts his slide the play is dead right there and good from 72 come on man the cowboys will do the same thing they do every year win 12 or 13 games and get beat in the first playoff game
@Zaxtor992 ай бұрын
The NFL themselves verified that kick would have been good from 72 yards yes. Did you not see the ball smack the net 6 yards behind the goal post?

They'll pull Prescott mid-season and play Lance if they're at 500 or near it..
@Zaxtor992 ай бұрын
No they will not. The Cowboys are very likely to be under .500 after the 49er game on October 27th 7 games into the season. I would be shocked if they are over .500 at that point with some really tough early season games. I guarantee you they will not start Trey Lance over Dak unless Dak is injured. I'm not even sure Trey is better than Cooper Rush... there ain't no way in hell Dak is getting pulled to start Trey Lance just because they are below .500. That's an awfully ignorant comment to make.. I think you've been brainwashed by too much ESPN and Fox Sports hyperbole.

@@Zaxtor99 Dak needs to go, end of story. He has had above average teams most of the time and seems to always find a way to put the team in a massive hole to start a playoff game. Then late in the games makes some plays so his numbers look good. He was gifted a SB team as a rookie and choked in the playoffs. Time to move on. Draft a QB, add to OL and DL with money saved and the team will be better than now. Only the BEST QB should be paid top dollar and Dak is not that guy. Also Dak says it is not about the money he just wants to WIN, yet he also says wants to be paid like a very top of the line QB. Can't be both ways.
@Relayer6a2 ай бұрын
I don't care who we have for QB post Dak. I just want Dak gone so we have a chance to advance in the playoffs. The #7 seed at home and he was in totally over his head. 8 years is enough. He is what he is and that's not good enough. People looking at Lance to start is hopium because Dak has blown it so bad. The only thing Lance has over Dak is MAYBE scrambling and running speed? Maybe? Who's smoking the weed? He also has a better arm and a much quicker release. Because Dak has a very mediocre arm and the slowest release I've ever seen in an NFL QB. Lance's accuracy is a problem. He's been over throwing the ball and he doesn't seem to trust his reads and needs to look a split second longer to feel comfortable letting the ball fly. I can still hear Parcells saying to Romo, "Throw the ball, just let it go." Lance needs to do the same. The ball is spotted where the QB starts his slide. It's not where his butt hits the ground.

Dak was NOT the problem last year in the Green Bay game. Dak didn't quit like the entire defense did at the end of the first quarter, and in fact because half his team quit, he tried to over-compensate and made a couple of mistakes. To act like Dak Prescott is some scrub is utterly absurd.

@@Zaxtor99 GB scored on their first drive. Cowboys ran 8 plays for a total of 27 yards including zero yards on 2 passes, then punted. Then the defense forced a punt by GB. 1st and 10 incomplete pass. 2nd and 10 5 yard run by Lamb. 3rd and 5 Dak throws an INT giving the ball to GB on the Dallas 19. 5 plays later GB scores. That was on Dak. And at that point he still had Zero passing yards. Next possession Dallas punts AGAIN. GB takes it and scores on their possession. Next Dallas possession and Dak throws another INT, this time pick 6. They're down 27-0 and it's basically game over because the offense besides not being able to do anything. Dallas had a net of 55 yards passing with 2 INT at that point. I'm not defending the defense but you are completely overlooking how horrid Dak played. He was easily, far and away, the worst QB of the wildcard weekend.
@Zaxtor992 ай бұрын
@@Relayer6a Yeah, to be fair.. I watched the game once when it aired live. I need to go watch it again. I just remember feeling like the entire defense just "gave up" while watching it live. I still think Dak has a massive heart of passion and over-flowing desire to win. He's a great leader too. Now I know that he is NOT the type of quarterback like Aaron Rogers used to be or like Patrick Maholmes is where they can compensate for a lack of a good RB or a standout great receiver. He is definitely not that guy. I just don't like the thought of losing Dak and going back to all the Quincy Carters, Ryan Leafs, Chad Hutchinsons, and Anthony Wrights of the world. Dak is leagues above where we could very well be if we lose him.
@BigD-t1u2 ай бұрын
It doesn’t matter who we have at QB we are just not destined to make it past the divisional round. It’s the cowboys curse. We could have Brady go undefeated in the regular season and still lose the first playoff game.
