@@user-bd3zy6wo7l The way that BM did that reminds me of what Charlie Brown did to Leaders Of The New School. He's (BM) is talking about cross pollination, but ultimately, he wanted to be the man, much like Charlie Brown was stressing how LONS was HIS group, though Busta Rhymes was THAT DUDE, within the group AND without it. BM is salty, because he can't be that dude and they are making major moves without him (in particular Fred Taylor & Ryan Clark)...

Brandon messed up by being selfish though. Yeah, I understand the other dudes didn't want to invest early on, and he had to prove it was a good idea. I also understand that he didn't want to give up a larger slice of his company for pennies on the dollar. That's fair. But ultimately, if they had invested early on, he would've had nothing to disagree on later on, so realistically its nothing to get hung up on. Sometimes you have to prove people wrong. The thing he had that was valuable was all of the different personalities. They built that podcast, without them, it doesn't exist. So you have to pay them, or your business loses value, simple as that. A decent portion of their audience DISLIKED Brandon, its not like he could carry it on his own. They realized they could leave, start their own podcast, and make bank. At that point, Brandon accepts 25% of millions, or, 100% of nothing. I think Brandon, with his sky-high ego at the time, with 100% ownership, being prideful, felt the risk was worth it. He probably saw more to gain than what he could lose. He made a choice, he lost, it is what it is.

Man business is business and they should've invested money in the beginning... It's different if nobody invested because Brandon is wearing 2 hats... Matter of fact more hats than that... He's working like them and investing... How are they equal? I'm coming to work just like you and I'm financing the business and you believe we all should be the same. So I'm the employee and working the same hours as you at work... Then I'm finding the sponsorships... And then I'm financing and making the business deals... And I gave all y'all an opportunity to invest in the beginning and you think we are all the same? Nigga ish... Then Fred Taylor admits he was too drunk and high to make a business meeting about his finances and he just says we could've done it another time? And cats are alright with that? Straight ni$$@ ish... Oh and I forgot... It was also my idea... The hell is wrong with ni$$@z... Crazy

@@CoachQ773 thats what it is. BUT theres like a unwritten rule with our people. Your word is bond. Business wise he was totally correct but he knows how we operate. Had he stepped up and verbally expressed he wanted everyone to make the same effort around the board I believe theyd still be on the show. Instead they felt he told them one thing and tried to get rich off of them. This is why the say family and business dont mix. You have to be upfront and sometimes ruthless

@@Gardenstategreat1225 I kind of agree with that but y'all act like cats don't get burned out... Mentally and physically... Channing told him explicitly he didn't believe in the vision and he just wanted to get paid... What do you do when somebody tells you that? And then once it takes off and my idea works now you think the investment is the same? They're all millionaires... Why didn't they just put up the 100 thousand then... It's no longer 25 thousand because now I'm in the hole... BS... You actually think it's the same 25 thousand from 1 year ago? Really? Why you always got to baby ni$$@z ... You always got to treat grown men like children... Messed up
@AntTurner
@AntTurner 6 ай бұрын
@@Gardenstategreat1225 That's exactly what he did, he went back on his word. You can't tell someone we are all equal partners (25% each) then come back a year later when the show has blown up and basically say I want to put everyone on salaries while I retain ownership. Very snakish but in the business world it happens all the time which is why you have to have the paperwork in place day one.

I’m a 54 year old non athletic woman. I don’t personally know either of these young men. I don’t know the ins and outs of what “actually” happened. Reading the comments, it’s interesting how so many people are bashing B.M. There are 3 sides to EVERY story. This was merely his side, as much as he could divulge in 2 hours. He was vulnerable, he was at times “raw”. It seems like that wasn’t enough for many. I LOVE LOVE LOVED this episode for so many reasons. We got to see 2 brothers have an open conversation about love, life, loss and SO much more. Cam/Boogie (they both showed up) narrated this interview with the skill and mentality of a QB, sincerity of a brother and honesty of a friend. They will both go far. Hats off to Brandon for being willing to be vulnerable and as open as possible. Hats off to Cam for being brave enough to step in to your purpose. You DID that Beloved. Congratulations , The show is AMAZING. ❤️🙏🏾❤️

Exactly. I'm a fan of ALL parties involved. But people make mistakes and they should be held accountable when they do so. B Marshall came to all 3....said we are splitting this even, I don't know what this is, but we're equals. Then in the next breath when pushed by Cam he admits that he was taking meetings WITHOUT his "equal" partners. I now completely understand Fred T and Channing making the pivot, pun intended. That's shady AF.

How you know... They didn't even make sense... Why would he have an entire brand and not promote the brand? Cam Newton said when he offered it to him he declined because Brandon was trying to build a brand and he said he was trying to build his own brand
@ferrynpalmer3875
@ferrynpalmer3875 6 ай бұрын
@CoachQ773 ... When I watched this, I heard it as Cam was approached AFTER all this went down. I also heard B Marshall say he brought the idea of the podcast to them all when he had zero idea what a podcast was or how it worked. He then said he told them all they'd split it up equally, 25% each. I don't think he meant the brand....he meant the show, right? Then he says he took meetings without them, switched it up, and pulled the show into his brand. Unbeknownst to the other 3. Then I heard him say his idea was to spin off shows for each of them, under HIS umbrella. He dreamt this up in his head and sprung this on them when they expected 25% of the show. That's what I heard ALL of them say, B Marshall included. What I heard is shaddy.

I do think they were owed the 25 percent but I also understand Brandon because he took the risk. What if things went bad? He would have lost all his money. @@TheRealist1. He told them 25% & didn’t ask them to come to all those meetings. You can’t go back on agreements with friends and expect it to go right. If he wanted them to put in money and go to meetings, he should’ve made that the agreement in the first place. Maybe change the percentage based on how much work people put in but all of that requires integrity and good communication. Brandon’s all over the place

@TheRealist1. 6 ай бұрын
@@Ant-Man612 Fred was the only one interested in the meeting and he missed it. Brandon was busy wheeling and dealing, and that's the only thing I fault him for. He should've communicated not only his dream, but how he intended to achieve it. They weren't privy to the information he was gaining in the meeting, he thought they'd just get on board and they didn't. Trying to build a business around millionaires with their own businesses is tough, if there was other talent they could employ it would've worked. They only see the platform while Marshall was thinking bigger. They're rich and they're not driven to work or build, it was Marshall's idea and a hobby to all but Fred Taylor.

@@TheRealist1. I can see that. That’s why you have agreements. Brandon should’ve taken a bigger cut to do all of the extra work along with Fred and everyone else can take a reasonable amount. But you have to be adults and set those agreements up before you get into business. I don’t fault Brandon and the guys for messing up along the way. But as an outsider, it seems to me like he’s not owning up to it and he still hasn’t fully grasped what went wrong. I hope they can move on and they can all do great things.
