Thai filmmaker Sompote Sands returns to the show, and this time it's not an Ultraman rip-off! Instead it's a "Jaws" rip-off called "Crocodile"!

@@SlapstickGenius23 sounds like a similar situation with the Indonesian exploitation scene back in the day. During the 80s, Indonesia had a big boom with locally made exploitation films, e.g. Lady Terminator and this one Hellcats-inspired post apocalypse motorcycle gang movie I saw one time (forgot the title). Unfortunately it didn't last long some time during the 90s because of the Indonesian economy crashing. This is from what I've read years ago, but if any Indonesians can confirm this, that'll be super helpful.

Aww I was so looking forward to Hanuman appearing and wrestling some crocs. Also fun fact: You can tell crocs apart from gators by a pair of bottom teeth that protrude out around the top jaw while their mouths are closed, while gators do not. Not to mention alligators only exist in the Southern US and Southern China...

Laugh all you will but so remember this movie because of seeing it multiple times in theatre. Now part of that was Saturday matinees having a triple bill and the balcony where you were allowed to smoke cigarettes (wink, wink). The things we did in the early 80s in a public buildings weren't actually legal till few years ago but all those smokers were good camouflage back then.

The crocodile's inconsistent size is ironically fitting when it comes to eye witness accounts in stressful situations. Some might guess correctly but most might get the size exaggerated. Just a couple of months ago a man was snatched by a crocodile not far from my village, in the same river where my church baptized some kids. A colleague who followed the event said the crocodile was reported by the dead guy wife as too be the size of a door. Sounds about right. Then she clarified it was the crocodile's HEAD that was the size of a door. I called BS on that because afaik no modern crocodile has ever been reported to be of that size. To be fair...I'm a horrible at measuring things so I might in the wrong, too. Even when I'm visualizing things with a ruler right in front of me, like the size of a 3D print project, I still get either a final product that is too small or far larger than I wanted.

I would have had respect for the movie if the CROC ate/killed everyone at the end and swam into the sunset for the sequel, "Crocodile: Now it's Personal".

lol. For a moment, I thought this was a re-upload of The Great Alligator. I guess that one wasn't made by Toho after all.

Crocodiles *do* Breach, and it's terrifying if you're not expecting it (or if you're not behind a wall) though actually clearing the whole body out of the water is a bit of a stretch, I've seen them get like an eight foot Jump.

The theme definitely has Friday the 13th vibes and why does the narrator sound like a cheap James Earl Jones. Gotta love cheesy late seventies monster flick, I think you might like the 2011 creature feature called creature

Even in death Sompote Sands never seen to learn to take a hint. "You don't own any rights to our property, screw off!!!" Right now I'm starting to think that Sompote Sands might've stole that movie from someone else & try to make a false claim that he own it, even though in actuality he doesn't.
