FUUUUUUUUCK no. The Werewolf sucks in that one. Bad and Bald and Quadruped. No thanks. The story and plot rock but the Werewolf is disappointing, much like Late Phases...

@@Welsh_Dragon756 I didn't care for it the first time I saw it, either. But watching it a second time with a different group of people, I could kind of ignore the weird choice for the werewolf design and just appreciate the story and the acting. Ginger Snaps is now one of my favorites. Howl is another good one with a werewolf that has a bit of an odd design.

Dog Soldiers is basically a British version of "Predator" - confident soldiers go on a mission, only to find the genre of the movie has changed on them. It actually ranks pretty high on my list of favorite movies.

Watched this at the cinema in England. Absolutely brilliant. The Spoony actor plays a rebel that gets killed in that salt planet battle in Last jedi. I still hold hope that he comes back as a Geordie force ghost.

I read that Marshall didn't want to make a werewolf movie with soldiers; he wanted to make a soldier movie with werewolves. He succeeded, I think: it's really the banter between the soldiers that helps to set this one apart.

One of the best werewolf movies ever made. The newspaper report at the end was a nod to the trashy British newspapers like The Daily Sport. In the late 80s and 90s they would often have stories like, "I slept with a vampire" or "An alien stole my baby" and other ludicrous headlines that everyone just laughed at and ignored.

A twat is the dictionary term for a pregnant fish, but is used as an insult much like cunt is used elsewhere, as cunt is also used as a term of affection amongst mates.

I love how the movie kinda gives the idea that werewolves can be killed with regular bullets and blades, but they have a healing factor that makes it harder to do so. Which also allows the effect of silver to make sense, as you see it actually burn them like they are allergic to the metal. Kinda like how in Marvel the metal carbonatium is used on people with healing factors, because it nullifies that ability so it would be like a wound that would have to be healed normally or through medical interference.

I'm glad you did your spin on this movie...as usual, yours is unique, informative and hilarious! Fun fact: when Cooper punches the Sarge the second time, he actually connected and did knock him out!
