Honestly little Godzilla would look way different when he grows up. Considering his flat face, giant eyes, and chubby body, i imagine that his adult form would look a little bit in the lines of the 1984 godzilla or 1968-1972 godzilla when he grows up, but a little more thicc. When he became godzilla junior it was an insane change because he literally changed shape and his eyeballs literally became smaller. I dont think that's how growing works lol.

I have some facts on Minya. See his design was ment to emulate how more friendly he was to Humans. Material and construction for monster suits were different so that's probably one of the reasons why the head looks ugly. Go Greenman (surprisingly considering they were still using the same material) and Final Wars as well as Goziban were an improvement.

The cutesy design of Baby Godzilla along with the Sesame Street line kinda make sense once you hear the whole story. A while ago, I heard that Toho’s initial plan was to create a child’s show set in the Heisei series that followed Baby Godzilla getting trapped in some underground society. It would’ve been your standard, run of the mill children’s shows, and Toho used this film to kinda spring board the idea. Unfortunately, Godzilla Vs Spacegodzilla didn’t do as well as Toho had hoped, and after the Americans came in with their pitch of an American made Godzilla film, all ideas and plans for the series were scrapped.

11:20 and 19:40 As much more satisfying as this would've actually been, the ending of "Battle for Earth" clearly stated that Mothra needed to go into space to stop a meteor that was going to collide with Earth in 1999. Originally it was Battra's duty to do so, but since Godzilla killed Battra, Mothra had to take on the responsibility herself. That and the Rebirth of Mothra Trilogy is separate from the Heisei Godzilla timeline

2:25 Actually, Moguera is *technically* weaker than Heisei MechaGoji. Atleast, that was the intention behind the scenes. The creative team behind this movie was originally gonna have a rebuilt MechaG and Godzilla fight SpaceGodzilla in this movie, but thought having both Godzilla _and_ the robot that almost killed him fight SpaceGoji would make things too one-sided. So they opted for a rebooted version of Moguera who was meant to be weaker.

On the subject of the effects of the Heisei era films, one common criticism of all the fights is they consist mostly of the monsters shooting beams at each other, with very little in the way of physical blows. And I think this movie might be the best example of this. SpaceGodzilla's costume looks like the guy inside, Ryo Hariya, can barely move. No wonder he spent so much time comically floating in the air. He couldn't throw a punch in that costume.

This is precisely why in retrospect I mostly don't care for the Heisei Era, and SpaceGodzilla is the biggest offender, the costumes look great but the actors inside them can't move, so we get these beam-a-thons. Vs Mechagodzilla 93 is also pretty bad about it, and it's precisely why I rank them very low and I haven't properly watched either of them in probably a decade. I really like the early heisei films ( Biollante, King Ghidorah and Mothra are all more entertaining fights that are more physical and arguably better human plots as well) , I do feel as though Godzilla Vs Destroyer actually brings things back around despite how huge and bulky Destroyers suit also is, they seem to do fancier camera work to make the fights a bit more interesting and the human plot is more engaging as well

I'll admit this is my least favorite Heisei Godzilla film by a longshot, and one of lowest-ranking Godzilla films for me. The pacing is really slow and it's obvious in certain aspects how rushed it was with certain special effects and weak plotlines. Which is a shame because this movie is, strictly speaking, the first time the Heisei series followed the precedent set by Godzilla vs Biollante by having an original monster be the focus. Atleast Godzilla vs Destoroyah makes up for this film and then some for me. 18:16 I will also forever be baffled how that coagulant was never brought up again to be used on SpaceGoji.

I really enjoyed how the last 3 original Godzilla movies at least covered Godzilla junior growing up from Godzilla vs mechagodzilla 2 to Godzilla vs destroyah unlike the showa era.
