This movie used so much stock footage from "The X From Outer Space", they actually credited the guy who played Guilala in the original as well (who never got credit then). The actor playing Guilala in the new footage is Ryu Hariken, who played King Ghidorah in 1991, the Battra Larva, Baby Godzilla, the Kusamo God in "Yamato Takeru", Godzilla Jr., and Godzilla himself in some live shows. 4:28 These two Japanese fellows are (foreground) Yosuke Natsuki from "Godzilla '84" and "Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster" and (background) Susumu Kurobe, Hayata from "Ultraman" and Wing Fat from "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" 9:59 Guilala straight up does the Gojira Shie from "Monster Zero."

It just introduced a wider audience to tongue in cheek movies but missed the point in multiple ways and gave dumb people the idea that they were in on a joke that they really weren't. I remember seeing this at G Fest when it first came out 10 years ago. I laughed my ass off and always cherished the memory. THEN years later (about a week ago, actually), I decided to buy the movie off Amazon and show my father, hoping to relive the fantastic comedy experience I remember form so long ago... We turned it off less than 20 minutes in. I didn't take into account that I was 13 when I saw this, and am now 23 and my sense of humor has changed. It's not a terrible movie, but its very childish, and having the read the jokes rather than hearing them made my father unable to properly enjoy a lot of the humor. :(

I had only the Japanese version on dvd so I had to read subtitles off my computer while I watched it. They didn't dub the English speaking people though and I wish they hired me as the British ambassador instead as they used an American guy for it, who didn't even try to do an accent.
