@@jasonoconnell130 I did not mean just blues guitarists. There is a good many brilliant guitarists out there. With you tube and the internet it does not matter that they are passed on. But live guitarists, check out Guthrie Govan for starters as a great guitarist.

This guy is a fabulous performer and player. Love it. Like 67 on this video. For a short bit in the 9 minute frame I was drifting off to my north woods hideout thinking I was listening to the Allman Brothers.... just for a bit.

I agrée that he’s a fabulous player, but where’s the performance. He stands in one spot and never looks out to his audience. Performer? Nah..

I’m impressed, haven’t been excited by any of the current generation guitarists (that are very good), this kid gets my attention the way Stevie Ray did when I first saw him in fall of 1972. Hoping he stays out of helicopters and small airplanes 👏👌✌️

@GCKelloch Жыл бұрын
Great band, and the kid is a major talent. Those D'Angelico guitars are something special. Them and Reverend are really nice affordable alternative styles to Fender and Gibby designs. It's in how the wood choices damp. To me, this one sounds like an Ebony FB SG with better low end and sustain, but not quite like an LP Custom. My one quip might be with the neck joint. I wonder if the body wood gets so thin that it might split, or is the neck shaped to fit inside the joint so that can't happen? I assume the later.

Technically impecable. But too far from the spirit of the Santana original sound and musical idea. Sorry guys but you were supposed to do a soul sacrifice and you didn’t sacrifice a thing. You just kept your jazzy spirit. Which is valid but unmatchable with this song. 😢

Once the young prodigy thing wears off your just another over playing pentatonic man. He needs to slow down. He plays over everyone. Learn theory. Be like Andy Wood or Jack Ruch. Then maybe he can be a Tal Wilkerson. Once he’s 25 no one will remember him.
