Bro….Love that it’s an Indian. I just hope you don’t end up spending 17K to get a safe, running Indian Chief with a salvage title. But you can be sure I’ll be tuned in to see how this saga plays out!

Holy crap! I will be glued to this channel for a long time as you rebuild this bike. Most everyone else is so obsessed with the new H-D fairing releases. It's nice to get more new Indian content. You could spend $8k on repairs and mods and still be at the price point of a brand new Scout off the dealership floor. That salvage Chief is an amazing find, for someone that wants a project bike. Which is not me Lol!

I’m thinking the same. Insurance counts every single thing as a piece to replace but there are a number of things that can be reused. I already have parts on the way.

My Indian scout got stolen on Labor Day weekend of last year. Someone took it on a joy ride and totaled it. I love you are showing this bike some love. Mine was more than just a motorcycle to me, it was part of my identity. I rode it literally every day. Seeing this opened that wound again but I know you’ll take care of this bike and get it back to where it needs to be so you or someone who gets it can become one with it like I was with mine. Definitely going to keep track on this series and how things go.

You're a brave man, Brandon, to take on that basket case! LOL That's a cool project and good deal, and don't doubt you can get it on the road soon, plus replacing those damaged pieces allows you to go back with something better than factory and make it your own. Though the missing speedo and headlight just being disconnected and not torn off, make me think somebody somewhere either in shipping, post wreck or the auction yard helped themselves. I found the jack spot last night! Took me one try last night versus 15 while I was filming this video, lol. And there are more starting to show up now.
