Love the video and the tips. I like your OCF shots best. I am constantly amazed by how much you do with one flash and soft box. BTW, I bought an Explor 600 about 18 months ago after watching some of your videos. Great videos. Keep them coming.

Love your video. I like the comparison of the unedited and edited images. You make a nice photo background out of a not-so-great area. Apparently there isn't that much wind where you are, my tripods have often fallen over without being weighed down. You can see that in my videos. Since then I always use sandbags. They fit very well in my little wagon, it is the same as you use it. :-)

Brandon, thanks again, I really learn a lot from your videos. You didn't mention the flash power on many of the shots. Is the ad400pro really necessary, or can you get the desired result with the ad 300pro, it seems more convenient to carry around. LMK.
@BrandonColePhotography2 жыл бұрын
It depends on how much light is outside. It depends on if you have nd filters to stay under your flash sync speed and not go into high speed sync to get the full power out of the 300.
@gamkagan2 жыл бұрын
@@BrandonColePhotography OK, so in other words, it's better to be safe, than sorry, and have the heavier ad400 flash, because when you're out on a shoot, you never know when you will need the extra power.

Good job I am not a big fan of natural light I was not crazy about your natural light images but I did like when you lit it with a flash. I have never known a 50 to have compression. I have had several over the years. Keep up the good work

Very good video and tips ,honestly I just didn’t like how dark they look ,it looks like you were using natural light instead of a flash light ..

I still don't understand why there is still a lot of opposition using HSS and loosing power vs being below sync speed. The only question is, in the situation you are are shooting, even loosing some power using HSS, do you still have enough power to your subject. Using a filter comes with drawbacks as well. Potential colour shift and sharpness loss. So it's a question of compromise
@jasonbodden88162 жыл бұрын
There are great filters out there that don't have any of those issues so it's still better than HSS. The power loss with HSS is massive. I prefer to use ND filters and keep my full range of power. Once I found good quality ND filters I've never had an issue.
@raphaellencrerot2 жыл бұрын
@@jasonbodden8816 First, any glass will degrade your image even slightly. None are perfect and this is a pity using extra glass regarding the price of gear and lens to get quality image. The loss is not that massive, it's between 1 and 2 stop (depending to the brand). Even in day light, with my ad300 I rarely come close to full power in hss (corresponding to 1/2 1/4 with filter). So using a filter will only allow you to "unlock" 1 or 2 stops for extreme conditions. Hence, using systematically a filter is not beneficial. Only beneficial in extreme light cases when almost full power is needed.
