I know Elvis was shouting as he entered heaven's gates and is singing with the angels now. He died on my mom's birthday. My granddaddy who loved Elvis died two months later, and Elvis is singing for him now. I got joy again in November 1977 when my baby daughter was born. She loves Elvis and her daughter, my granddaughter, loves Elvis music. I played his music for her even before she was born. When she was 5, I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she said she wanted to go to Elvis' house so we took her to Graceland. She loved it.

I ride with a few folks two times a week. We are all pretty much of the same age. A few older than my 68 years, one of the strongest things we have in common . . . including our bus driver . . . is love for Elvis. We have talked more than once about the timelessness of his music. Most of us know the lyrics to a whole lot of his songs. I grieve for what he experienced in his later years. The more I listen to his music and watch all of his movies, the more I understand him being "The King of Rock and Roll" and his music will live forever.

I didn't have to read anything. I knew it was Vince Gill singing. He'd written this song many yrs ago after his brother died from an overdose. It was played at my brother's funeral February 2020. Beautiful tribute to Elvis who now sings at Jesus' feet. Thank you for posting.

on spot Sandra. we meet again . I have seen your comments on other E.lvis vids. what a way to live. to bad he's really gone.... I wish he could have faked his own death. and then gone on to live a happy normal life. Elvis knew he was in trouble with his drug use. could not get help for it. . The first step to recover from drug or alcohol abuse, is to admit you have a problem. .... ELVIS admits he has a issue with pills. when he recorded Good Time Charlie's got the blues. He never finished the song leaved out last verse...... goes . I've got these pills to ease the pain. why else would he leave that last verse out. Elvis sang every line of every other he recorded. but leaved out that line.... love ELVIS. as to the col. well he can rot.....
