This is my Favorite way to catch Crappie. I use the 19qt Engel bait cooler as well. I do Jig fish and enjoy the Thump but years ago I started throwing my leftover bait in a small pond and now I can catch all the shiners I want with my Gees traps. You hit the nail on the head with those junky plastic slip corks they drive me nuts! Rural king in my area of Western Ky was selling the ones with brass inserts but they quit. I’ll have to check yours out. Using Livescope or active target definitely helps to catch them. I use a Garmin 73Sv and mark my brush piles with marker buoys. Maybe one day the Livescope will be in the budget. I used to buy the green bobber stops in the packages but now I buy a spool of 20lb green fly line backing and cut and tie my own and get my beads in sewing section at Walmart. Enjoyed this content. Those fish were great size eaters for sure. Good luck on your guiding trips in future hope goes well for you.

As always good content. I crappie fished the other day for the first time with a jig. I caught 2 and no more. I tried a lot and found out real quick even tho I could see them I did not catch them. You make it look too easy.

Really enjoyed the video Brandon. I wanted to get your input about painted jig heads and just basic lead jig heads. I’ve always caught fish on just plain jig heads but here lately the bite has been tough. I noticed lately the folks doing videos are using the painted jig heads. And are there different colored heads you have better luck with than others. I know color matters on jig bodies. I saw a video using livescope where a fellow showed how the Crappie would reject one color and turn away. Then would attack the the right color presented the same way. Maybe a video on this????? Thanks for another great video.

Hey Brian when you're using that wobble bobber and casting a nice distance do the crappie take it down also can you notice an upbite from a nice distance? I love those bobbers and have several that aint been wet yet. Just curious on your opinion since i see you use them from time to time. Another banging video bro thank you for the hard work you put in for our enjoyment 🫡tightlines and sharp hooks🤙🏽
@BrandonLesterFishing2 ай бұрын
@@panfishin-fool8057 most of them take it down. You really have to pay attention to see a bite if one comes up with it but usually those upbites won’t let go so you’ll catch the fish either way, they may just be hooked deep.
