Brandon Li, can you review the EC1 Beholder? I noticed you used it a few times but never gave any feedback on it. It would be awesome if you did, since I may have access to getting one at a big discount. Thanks!

Most gimbal reviews show the video in slow motion and that makes it impossible to judge the performance of the gimbal. I really like your testing, especially having the small insert that shows how the gimbal is being held and whether you are walking or running. Additionally, showing the Mode (lock etc) and the lens info is extremely useful.

Hi Brandon, thank you for the review. I found it very useful. I own the Nebula 5100 Slant Gimbal and found by upgrading to the latest firmware the micro gitters almost completely disappeared. Glad you recommended upgrading the firmware it was definitely worth it !!

Hi Brandon, first time i watched your review, i like it very much cos... it's nice & clear, the most important thing is Honest. Some of the reviewer they just want us to buy the product so that they can get the commission. You are pretty straight & forward & honest about the facts. Thanks a lot & keep it up.

Thanks Brandon! I really like the angled design but I'm disappointed in how they couldn't figure out a better way to implement inverted mode. And the big grip is not ergonomic at all! Phew! I'm glad that my Zhiyun V2 is still so highly functional.

This would be great for mounting a good camcorder on it. I had to make a custom mount to fit a Sony AX53 on a Zhiyun Crane M gimbal. Most gimbals don't allow enough depth for a long camera like a camcorder. And a Sony AX53 camcorder also already had awesome stabilization built in. But, I'm not sure if the arm of this gimbal would interfere with the camcorder's touch screen.

Great review Brandon, thanks. I was interested to see the difference with the studyshot off. Even with the camera on a stabiliser it seems it still makes a big difference.
@BrandonLiUnscripted
@BrandonLiUnscripted 7 жыл бұрын
Steadyshot is necessary with these little cameras and pistol grip gimbals. The gimbal should be seen as an adjunct to the steadyshot, not a replacement.

Hi Brandon... any chance the micro jitters were exacerbated by having Steadyshot on at the same time as the gimbal's motors are also trying to do the same thing? Great reviews btw...

Thank you for these reviews. I'm a Canon 80D shooter. I recently got the zhiyun crane v2 for a really good price. I only wish it could handle more weight, maybe I should have gone with the moza but I hadn't even heard of it. I'm by no means a pro shooter so I think the crane will do just fine.

Thanks for the review. What's your verdict on the usefulness of the tilted design? Is seeing the back of the camera life changing? Not important?
@BrandonLiUnscripted
@BrandonLiUnscripted 7 жыл бұрын
It's not life-changing because with other gimbals I just tilt up the LCD screen so I can still see what I'm shooting. It's nice but I wouldn't buy a gimbal because of the slant. Especially with that weird inverted mode.

Hey Brandon. Great reviews. I'm sorry if you've already answered this somewhere but I noticed you consistently say control and speed are two of the main things you look for in gimbals. Just curious what your thoughts and experience are on the analog systems like the Glidecam. Just seems like you would spend a lot less time balancing, dealing with batteries, motors ect. Maybe it's just a personal preference thing for you but I am curious to hear your thoughts. Thanks for all the content you provide. Truly appreciated.

I used Glidecam years ago. Was a PITA to set up and kept losing balance. Needed to be heavy in order to be stable, which sucks when you're trying to travel light. Pendelum swings on every turn. I prefer gimbal.

A friend of mine has this gimbal and he's really struggling with pretty severe vibrations that occur sometimes every 30 seconds. Their camera is well balanced, the payload not too heavy (a6300 with 16-70 f4 Zeiss) and fully charged. Not microjitters, super visible vibrations that last for about 2 seconds. Brandon - or anyone owning this piece of kit - have you noticed this issue or may they just have a faulty product? I'm sold on this one due to the slant, but the vibration issue puts me off.

BDFA Bamberg The issue here isn't the weight, as this gimbal can take up to 7lbs, and your camcorder only weighs 3lbs. The issue would be the lenght, the lenght of your camcorder may cause it to hit the rear motor.
