What IS required, is a Science called " BIBLICAL ARCHEOLOGY " . There is such a science, I know a Dr. (Phd) Of BIBLICAL ARCHEOLOGY. The reality of TRUTH is that it is REAL. Not a man's decision on "what is truth" AND HOW DO WE FIND IT. Given, The Birth of our (the world's MESSIAH) Savior, affected the ENTIRE WORLD, one can present the potential that The Whole Earth was AWARE of HIS BIRTH, (or that a Climatic Event has OCCURRED). A segue, to develop this: All HUMANITY, are offspring of those who were on the ARK. So. A question is posed: "Who, or where did the Chinese come from. whose Offspring? Why do I posit this question? Because An Emperor of China. seeing the STAR. moving East to West, wrote an Edic to "his people", to STOP all WORK for a WEEK, in Observation of that STAR. THIS EDIC, is Historically a "point in time", which CAN and HAS been determined for accuracy as a timeline of Humanity. My friend (I will state, I have Read his Treatise on this. it was his Doctoral Thesis. However. I will allow Anonymity for him, due to his current medical conditions . . .) He has Family History IN China, Missionaries during the Boxer Revolution, and HAS artifacts that SPEAK of Chinese to Hebrew Trade Routes, AKA. "The Silk Road". Further, he has a Published Chinese Dictionary that Pre-dates "Communist overthrow of that land mass. It is Illegal to own (in China). His STUDIES, indicate, that Jesus was Born During March (Lambing Season) 3 or 4 BC. There is a DECADES worth of study, in just **when was 1AD**, so allow a give or take, Ok? His research, gets it down to 1 of TWO days in March, which, is to me a Very Reasonable timeframe, given it was Two Thousand [plus] Years ago! a segue again. For calendar concepts: How many times have European Rulers ~changed~ The Calandar???? To close this, I found it TOTAL IRONY, that the person who made this video. had a PAGAN SYMBOL behind him. that TREE. all lit up, is a "gift" to Pagan's to join Constantine, in accepting Christianity. b

I have never thought it was important to know exactly when Jesus was born, I am just thankful that He came, and the reason was to die for us so we can have eternal life and a relationship with Him. The most important thing to do is to worship, love and obey Him. I think too many people put the wrong emphasis on Christmas.

In the stable , were only torches and lamps. God became man and dwelt among us. The greatest event in human history . As Mary, did the event in her heart. Our sinful hands wouldn’t dare build a house for suitable for the King of Glory. The Angels went and informed the shepherds, the most marginalized in society in those days. I don’t want to admire a Christmas tree. My admiration is on the Baby , born to die. This should make us tremble . My favorite music in the Advent Season, are some of the Carols and Handles Messiah. @BawbEedie7 күн бұрын
But you did not learn these three thing from the Bible, though did you? The Bible tells us to Worship GOD in Spirit and in TRUTH... Birth: If you don't know when Jesus was born, then HOW are you celebrating it "in truth"? Death: Jesus died on Passover, NOT "Good Friday"... Resurrection: Jesus told us that He would give the "Sign of Jonah"... That meant He would be in the tomb THREE Days and THREE Nights... NO way can you get THREE Days and THREE Nights from Good Friday to "Resurrection Sunday"... Jesus was NOT resurrected in Easter Sunday... Easter is the fertility goddess... WHAT does that have to do with the Resurrection of Messiah?

Will you plz like to find out answers of the following 8 questions with references from Gospels. 1. Give reference why Gospels (man written) were necessary when God given Torah and Zabor (Psalms) were already there. What guidance was missing in those books which Gospels completed. 2. Give reference where Jesus himself said that his followers should be called as Christians. 3. Give reference where Jesus himself directed/inspired his disciples to write Gospels. 4. Give reference that Jesus himself said to make his statues and paintings for worship in churches. 5. Jesus spoke Aramaic, then why original Gospels exist in Greek instead of Aramaic. 6. Give reference that the present worship procedure in practice in churches was prescribed by Jesus himself. 7. Give reference where procedure of marriage is given by Jesus. 8. Give reference where procedure for burial of a dead person is given in Gospels. If you don't find answers then plz think for a while why church doesn't have answers to these questions. Why there are no references. The answer is that church is not telling you the truth. Then look out for the Truth plz. The truth is only Islam.

Shalom. Kindly read this brother. Almighty Yahuwah's wisdom in His Feasts are amazing. So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a *shadow of things to come* but the substance is of Christ. Colossians 2:16-17 Paul says, the feast are SHADOWS OF THINGS TO COME. Paul was expecting Yahusha's second coming back then when he wrote that letter to Colossians which makes perfect sense where all the three fall festivals points to His return! These are not Jewish festival. These are My Feast says YAHUWAH. Lev 23:2. *1.P@ssover* - Yahusha is our Passover Lamb. Remembrance of His Death. 1 Cor 5:6, Heb 9:12-14. Blood applied on the two doorposts and lintel which symbolized Yahusha is the GATE. Passover reminds our Salvation. *2. Unl3avened Br3@d* - Yahusha's burial. Leaven symbolize the sin. Yahusha removed Sin (leaven) 1 Cor 5:6-7. Isralites ate Unleavened Bread for 7 days and have to remove the leaven from their house. Now we have to examine ourselves to remove the leaven (sin) from our lives until we receive a spiritual body on the day of resurrection. *3. Fir5tfruits* - When they enter into promised land, they have to bring the first sheaf of their harvest to Yah as an offering. Lev 23:10. The priest should wave the sheaf (give) to God on NEXT day of Sabbath (Lev 23:11) which is on SUNDAY! This is why after rose Yahusha said to Mary Magadalene on Sunday morning do not touch Him for He didn't ascend to Father yet. Because He is Firstfruit among the resurrection of the dead. 1 Cor 15:21. *4. P3ntec0st (Feast of Weeks/Harvest)* -YAHUWAH gave 10 commandments to Moses at Mt Sinai on 50th day after Israelites left Egypt. -Isralites celebrates the begining of wheat harvest. Soul harvest began when Holy Spirit poured in the New Testament. Acts 2. Today we need to remember the work of the Holy Spirit. Old covenant received Word, New Covenant received Holy Spirit. *5. Trump3ts* - Israelites celebrates the end of wheat harvest. They will gather the harvest and have a great feast. Yahusha will return at LAST Trumpet (after 7 seals and 6 trumpets in Revelations). He will gather the harvest (soul/believers) 1 Cor 15:51. As trumpet blown for announcement and warning, we being the 'trumpet' to share good news and as well warn the world about Christ's return. *AFTER the great tribulation* Yahusha will send His angels to gather saints. One will be taken and another will be left. Matt 24:29-31,40-41 1 Thess 1:10, 5:9, clearly says Yahusha saving the Saints from wrath by taking them up to heaven. All saints who taken up will stand on sea of glass witnessing 7 bowls of wrath poured on earth. Rev 15-16. Then they will participate in marriage of the Lamb and comes back with Him to rule the earth for a 1000 years. Those who reign with Him are Priest of God. Rev 20:6 Christ came (born) to world to Feast of Trumpet and will return during the same feast as well. *6. At0nement* - Once a year the High Priest will enter into Holy of Holies to offer sacrifices. Heb 9:7. Yahusha is our High Priest who sacrifice Himself. Heb 9:11. So no more sacrifice needed. That's why, the curtain which separated the Holy place from Holy of Holies torn when Yahusha died. Matt 27:51, Ex 26:33. After the millennium reign there will final battle with Satan. Then will be Great White Throne Judgment. If anyone does not believe Yahusha being their Atonement sacrifice must stand before Him on Judgment Day. *7. T@bernacle* - This is to remember Israelite lived in the tents in the wilderness. We also must remember, nothing is permanent in this world, even our body is a tent. 2 Cor 5:1-4. He is preparing for us a tent/house now in heaven. John 14:2. And He will bring it down when He is coming back. 1 Cor 15:35-49, Rev 21:2, 22:12. After Judgment God will form New Heaven and New Earth. Our eternal life will be at that New Earth! We will live forever in the spiritual body which is the tabernacle/tent. Rev 21:2-3. God will punish those who not celebrate this feast. Zec 14:16-19 We Torah keepers by celebrating feast of Tabernacles every year we learns camping, survival skills, fishing, hunting. We learn to live off grid. Torah is shadow of things to come. All Yah's feasts prepare us for His return.

I have also heard a theory that Jesus was born during the Feast of Trumpets. But as you said in the end. The important thing is not when Jesus was born. The important thing is THAT he was born and why. Same with if he was buried in the garden tomb or in the holy sepulchre. The main thing is not where he died and was buried. The important thing is THAT he died and ROSE again.

We know from Scripture when John the Baptist was conceived, (c. Sept 25th then, during Yom Kippur _"Day of Atonement,"_ Tishri 10, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar) and from thence, when Blessed Mary conceived Jesus (c. March 25th, (originally called Aviv, "spring") month of Nissan, 1st month in the Jewish calendar, Adar II, during which Passover occurs). That puts Jesus's birth in the month of December (Kislev: the Festival of Lights/Hanukkah celebrates on the 25th!! and lasts 8 days). _Jesus is the _*_Light of the world!_* And by Early Church Fathers writings and traditions, we celebrate *_Christ's Mass_* (aka Christmas) on Dec 25th since 336 AD once the Church no longer had to hide underground and was no longer hunted and persecuted. Amen. P.S. Of interest, Jesus's death was also in March, during Passover: Our Lamb of God.

Why do you start the priestly order in January, when in fact, the Hebrew calendar starts with Nisan (Aviv) in the spring. Thus Elizabeth would conceive around the first of Tamuz and John would be born in the spring of the next year at Passover / Unleavened Bread when the Jews look for Elijah...John came in the spirit of Elijah (Mt 17:10-13). John is six months older than Yeshua, so Yeshua's birth would be the first day of Sukkot when he "tabernacles" with us. If He was born the first day of Sukkot, then He would have been circumcised on Shemini Atzeret (THE Eighth Day). Thus, all the Jewish Festivals are picturing something Yeshua did...or...will do. This yeshua doctrine is a stumbling block to keep people from praying to the one true God Jesus Christ. Those in Hollywood are antichrist using his name in vain in every movie but not once do they say yeshua in vain. It's not the anti yeshua is the antichrist.

Since the Israelite feast days ALL point to Jesus, and Jesus fulfilled ALL points of the law, it only makes sense that every aspect of what happened with His birth, death, and resurrection would have occurred perfectly on time. Therefore, it makes sense that His circumcision (that was always on the eighth day after birth for Jewish babies) would have happened on the last great day (the 8th day) of the feast of tabernacles.

I discovered this information from my late Bible teacher, Dr. Chuck Missler, back in the early 90's. You can still see his two-part lecture on KZbin. It is called "The Christmas Story." It goes through every aspect of the Christmas story including the Magi, the virgin birth and when Jesus was born. If I recall, he had a date closer to Sept/Oct. He also goes over the pagan roots of our current Christmas celebrations and traditions. If you watch it, be prepared to be challenged on what you though you knew.

Late September is the timing put together. In fact, I believe it to have occurred on the Feast of Trumpets. The video is correct that you can trace back Zachariah's Temple service, but based on that, as well as who the King was at the time, and the details surrounding his death, as well as several other factors, they all point to a fall birth.

Jewish scholars have narrowed it done to the 19th of Tishrei from research I have done - and it fits - John the Baptist would have been born at Passover and he was to be the Spirit of Elijah returning and an important part of the Jewish Passover is leaving a chair for Elijah as his return at Passover was predicted for centuries. This mean Jesus was born at the Feast of Tabernacles which is why there was no room at the Inn. Travel was safer but the roads were flooded with Pilgrims going to Jerusalem. If you look at the meaning behind the feast it makes absolute sense. It also means that Jesus - the light of the world was conceived during Hannukkah - The festival of Lights! I don't have an issue with celebrating his birth in December however because I am from a Commonwealth country - and the King and our former Queen Elizabeth II had a public birthday and a separate private one Royalty get 2 birthdays - its good to be King - so our King Jesus having 2 is just fine. All that said the 'Why' is more important than the when - but the real when does dot some i's and cross some t's of prophecy. Just like the place of his birth did.

This is correct and this man in the video says the Bible or anyone never jots down when Jesus was born.. When in fact, Gods Word tells us everything we need to know. Sure, it's not as obvious as to "it fell on the night of the (give any number of day) in the month of whatever..... That's not what Bible prophecy does or works. You have to work for it and find yourself approved, instead of believing what someone says. That in mind, and look for yourself. The greatest tid bit is that of what this man has said... in part, but the most important.. John 1:1-5 , then the best part. John 1:14 " The Word became flesh, and TABERNACLED with us". There you have it... Feast of Tabernacles was when Jesus was born. Also, an extra tid bit for ya, you already said it in your comment above. The men were required to go up to Jerusalem and worship God by dwelling in tents/tabernacles, to remember God bringing them out of Egypt. This was also at the same time that Rome called for every male to return to there birthplace to be counted in the Census. Joseph's birthplace is Bethlehem.... Amazing timing. Go to Jerusalem for God's required Feast and the Census to fulfill prophecy, then be circumcised on his 8th day from birth, and finally presented to God at the Temple after roughly 33 days. Take Care & God Bless.

Just looked this up and I am definitely changing my mind and answer to October 8th Yom Kipper- the Justice to Humanity and equality in Religion would have defined Jesus' Birth. Tabernacles is the Jewish New Year, which has its meanings but the Birth Chart reveals the Purpose and Path for the Life- Jesus' Life was to fulfill Atonement of Sin for all Men.

Christmas is a symbolic celebration of Jesus’ birth rather than celebrating his birthday. Since it’s celebrated near the Winter Solstice when the longest night of the year happens and then the days get longer, so too was Jesus born during the darkest time in history and brought new light to the world.

Great lesson Brandon. In the past I've researched this for fun and came out with April or May. So, I'll just make it easy and agree with you on June (remembering we are talking the Gregorian calendar). Mostly you are absolutely correct. It is "Why" Jesus was born that matters. I always remember only two of the four Gospels go into the nativity, while all detail our Savior's crucifixion and resurrection.

I'm seriously conflicted about celebrating Christmas, but my family doesn't want to give it up completely. I prayed, researched, and fasted about this. I received a message that said, "They have made another religion that I am not in/not a part of." I've read that mixing religions leads to another religion that doesn't represent either one. I'm not sure what to do with this. What does everyone think? To me, being a follower of Christ Jesus means relationship, not religion.

Regarding the topic of when Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, served his week in the temple and burned incense, many scholars believe that the duty he performed in Luke 1:8-9 was the regular daily task of incense-burning that the priests performed every morning and evening throughout the year as per Exodus 30:7-8. However, a careful examination of Luke 1:9-10,21-22 may suggest that one of the days in that particular week of incense-burning was the annual Day of Atonement. Here, we are told in verse 10 that “the whole multitude of the people” were praying outside during this time, and, more significantly, verses 9 and 21-22 appear to show that Zacharias was completely alone in the temple when he performed this duty and was visited by the angel Gabriel. For if someone else had been waiting/praying just on the other side of the curtain that separated the altar of incense from the rest of the temple’s court, then don’t you think they would have overheard the conversation between Zacharias and Gabriel instead of wondering why Zacharias was taking so long in there? Now when turning back to Leviticus 16, and focusing in on verses 12-13 and 17, the reader can see that on the Day of Atonement, an Aaronic priest was required to be completely alone in the Tabernacle (tent/temple) when performing the required duties. At other times of the year however, as seen in examples like Leviticus 9, Aaron and his sons, as well as Aaron and Moses, were clearly shown in the Tabernacle together. We can also find examples of Aaron and his sons eating together in the “Holy Place” (Tabernacle) in verses like Leviticus 6:16, 7:6, & 24:9. So aside from the Day of Atonement, was there any other time of year where the Torah commanded a priest to be completely alone in the Tabernacle? If not, then we may proceed to recall that the Day of Atonement occurred between mid-September and mid-October, and that Jesus was conceived six months after John the Baptist (Luke 1:26,36). And assuming again that John was conceived almost immediately after his father’s encounter with the angel, and that Jesus was in Mary’s womb for the normal period of nine months, we can jump ahead the fifteen (nine + six) months to reach a date ranging between mid-December and mid-January for Christ's birth. Follow-Up Comments: In a possible attempt to neutralize the above argument, some critics might try to legitimize the claims of non-biblical sources which say that an Aaronic priest was also required to be alone in the Tabernacle during the twice-daily incense-burning sessions since Exodus 30:7-10 only mentions "Aaron" and no one else. Yet, when comparing those verses to the ones in Leviticus 16, which also mention "Aaron" and no one else, we see that the Exodus verses do not specifically state that Aaron was to be alone, whereas the Leviticus verses do. For if both the daily duties and the once-a-year duties required a priest's solitude, then don't you think God would've/should've clarified that in both places? More importantly, the reader can take note of two other significant facts: First, Exodus 30:7-8 is specifically referring to the twice-daily burning of incense for the Tabernacle's lamps and that there is no mention of lamps in the account of Zacharias. Second, when turning back earlier to Exodus 27:20-21, which likewise concerns the twice-daily burning of incense for the lamps, we see that the instructions there were given specifically to “Aaron and his sons” and not just Aaron alone. Hence, we see no actual command in the Old Testament for an Aaronic priest to burn the lamp-incense all by himself, nor for everyone else to vacate the premises every morning and evening so the priest could burn the lamp-incense in total isolation. Rather, the only time where the Torah commands that a priest be completely alone when burning incense is just before the blood of the bullock is to be sprinkled upon the Mercy Seat during the annual Day of Atonement as per Leviticus 16:12-17. Ergo, we cannot be certain that Zacharias was merely lighting the morning or evening lamps (since the time of day is never actually mentioned or even inferred in the Gospel account), and that he wasn’t instead heading for the altar of incense (which IS mentioned in Luke 1:11) to fill the Tabernacle with the cloud of the incense in preparation for the forthcoming bullock’s blood. So to conclude, any reportedly “ancient” sources which claim to be “Jewish canon” and state that the temple was indeed vacated every morning and evening for incense-burning can be met with very heavy skepticism and ultimately be regarded as fraudulent and unreliable.

hope this helps: GABRIEL’S VISIT DATE TO ZACHARIAH Luke 1:10-11 is the key to determine Jesus’ date of birth. It contains a story of Gabriel’s visit to Zachariah when whole multitude of Israel people outside the Jerusalem temple, while they were waiting for Zachariah burning incense inside. “10 And the whole multitude of the people were in prayer outside at the hour of the incense offering. 11 And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the altar of incense.” (Luke 1: 10-11) Phrase “whole multitude of the people” is an initial primary clue to investigate date of Elizabeth’s conception. Three possible Hebrew major festivals allowed the whole multitude of Israel people gathering outside Jerusalem temple: Sukkot, Yom Kippur, and Shavuot. By lot, Zachariah served burning incense (Luke 1: 8-9). In contrary, incense burner in Yom Kippur was by lot and was obligatorily carried out by the High Priest. Hence, Zachariah was not high priest and the festival was not Yom Kippur. Zachariah was included in the course of Abia. “There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zachariah, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.” (Luke 1: 5) The course of Abia was the eighth course, while course of Jehoiarib was the first course, which served in the second week of Av, as determined from Ezra 7:8-10. Between the first and the eight courses, there were feast of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in which the whole priest from all courses were in charge together. Then the course of Abia served at week 9 😊 8 + 1) from the second week Av, i.e. 3rd week Tishri, which was the Feast of Sukkot. This will be discussed in more detail later. Conclusion Gabriel visited Zachariah in Sukkot (Booths) 15th day of Tishri 3756 Hebrew Calendar a.k.a September 26, [6 BC??} Julian Calendar, instead of Shabuot or Yom Kippur . DATING ELIZABETH’S PREGNANCY Zachariah and his wife had longed for God to give them a biological child (Luke 1: 13). News from the angel that God has granted them should have made Zachariah happy. The news would eliminate disgrace from his wife in Israelite society, which looked down on barren women (Luke 1: 25). As his response, Zachariah went home soon after completion of his task. “And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his service were accomplished, he departed to his own house.” (Luke 1: 23) Zachariah did not wait for dawn. He traveled from Jerusalem-Hebron at night, a dangerous trip in 6 BC century, for the sake of immediately reaching home, and broke the news to his wife. Zachariah’s task was completed at the end of 15th of Tishri at about 5:33 pm. After preparing for his night travel, e.g. setting up a lamp, he departed Jerusalem to his home in Hebron. Travel time from Jerusalem to Hebron is approximately 11 hours 35 minutes on foot. Because Zachariah did not come from the rich, nobles, high priest, or the army classes, he walked on foot. Assuming smooth travel and no rest, Zachariah got home on 16th of Tishri 3756 5:08 a.m. Considering his advanced age, exhaustion due to having been on duty for 24 hours in the temple, and his time travel of approximately 11 hours 35 minutes on foot, Zacharias took rest throughout the day after telling God’s message to her. In conclusion, Elizabeth got pregnant on 17th day of Tishri 3756 Hebrew Calendar. By the Julian Calendar that is September 28, 6 BC

You are on the right track, but, have some of the dating wrong and you do not need Josephus to figure it out. The course of Abijah was the eighth course. Starting the first of the year, which would be the month of Nisan(our March or April) is when the courses would start. For understanding purposes let us use April as Nisan. With all serving at GOD"s Appointed Times,(Leviticus 23) it puts Zachariah around the middle of June. After a two week purification separation from his wife puts us at the first of July. Nine months later brings John the Baptist's birth around Passover. Six months later, September or October in our calander brings the fall time Appointments of GOD and the birth of Messiah Yeshua(Jesus). It could be the opposite Appointed Times for them, Passover for Yeshua(Jesus) and the Fall time for John, but I believe since at Passover a place is set for Eliyahu(Elijah) and Yeshua says John came in the Spirit of Eliyahu(Elijah) then that would be when John was born. Also, in John 1:14 it says Yeshua(Jesus) came and dwelt with us, dwelt could be translate Tabernacled or in Hebrew Succoth with us. That is a Fall time Appointed time of God. Note: Most people refer to "The Appointed Times of GOD as the Jewish Feasts. The Bible usually reveals itself when you realize Genesis to The Revelation are Hebrew/Jewish/Israeli documents and must be understood in that way.

The Bible already provides us the approximate date of Christ's birth around the time of the Feast of Tabernacles, which makes sense considering He came to "tabernacle" with us. Gabriel came to Mary around the first of February (the month of Adar), which ends up in October. And if you count backwards six months from April 3, A.D. 31 (documented date) when Jesus was crucified and resurrected, you still come to October. (Christ's ministry was 3-1/2 years which is why we only count six months and not nine.) Just do the math. Astronomy (as opposed to astrology) also points to the star of Bethlehem arriving in October. Frankly, since Jesus was in the beginning, He is eternal and actually really has no birthdate.

You should stop playing with man's calendars. God's calendar gives us a better answer. The lambs are born every year in december and january. I don’t mean to insult anybody please forgive me, but I cannot be quiet when I see something that is not correct. Many times, the opponents of Christmas have claimed that there is a remark in the Talmud indicating that sheep were put out to grass in March and brought back into the city at the beginning of November where they were kept in corrals during the winter months. However, in most speeches or writings where this claim has been made, the writers/speakers don’t actually quote the Talmud directly, nor do they provide a chapter and verse number so that their audiences could look up the passage for themselves. Why do you suppose that is? The answer, apparently, is not that such a verse is nonexistent, but that the verse in question, Babylonian Talmud - Beitzah 40b, can only appear credibly applicable when it is ripped out of its proper context. For when referring back to the final paragraph of Beitzah 40a, the reader will see that although the “pasture animals” were “led out about the time of Passover” to “graze in *more distant* meadows” and were then “led in at the time of the first rainfall” (i.e., October-November), they are not reported here to have been brought back into the actual city. Rather, only the “household animals” are reported here to have been led out to “graze outside the city-border” and then returned to “spend the night *inside* the city-border.” Beitzah 40a then further states that after the “pasture animals” were led out to graze, they did “NOT return to the habitation of men either in summer OR IN WINTER.” (The phrase “habitation of men” is clearly a reference to the city’s inner-dwelling places). Instead, when the early rains began, these animals would have obviously been brought in from the “more distant” meadows and simply been put into folds and kept in closer, more *nearby* fields so the shepherds would have easier and faster access to the city’s resources. And since the thrust of Luke 2:8 implies that the shepherds were keeping the night-watch in such a particular nearby field, as opposed to being out in the “more distant” meadows, one may conclude that winter was in fact the season when Jesus was born. (Note: While certain English translations render this verse to state that the shepherds were in the same “country” as the manger, this word can have both a broader or tighter meaning and can easily be interchangeable with more specific words like “countryside” or “region” as per other English Bible versions). Seeing then how the Talmud actually supports that shepherds WERE outside watching their flocks in winter, and that it even goes so far as to lend credibility to a winter-birth viewpoint, is it any wonder that those who claim the opposite rarely, if ever, quote their source?

The book of Luke says that John the Baptist’s father was a priest of the order of Abijah, and that John was conceived shortly after his father’s annual term of service in the temple. His order served from mid-May to early June. Luke goes on to say that six months after John was conceived, Mary found out she would have a child. So Jesus was probably conceived around December, therefore born around September. It couldn’t have been later than October, because shepherds didn’t keep watch over their flocks by night later in the year than October.

MSeveral problems with this calculation. 1. 1 Chronicles 24:7-19 document the order in which priests would perform duties in the Temple. But we don’t know which festival Zechariah was there for. 2. We don’t know how long after Zechariah left Jerusalem until Elizabeth became pregnant. 3. The ancient society did not record history literally as we do today. 4. The Gospels were not written for history, but Theology.

There is another piece of evidence in the Bible that you have overlooked. The reason as to why they went to Bethlehem: the census. Joseph and Mary were going to Bethlehem because it was his hometown, and by law, was required to return to his hometown to register for the census. It's why they couldn't find a place to stay. All rooms were already rented out. The only thing available was the stable. By Roman records there was a census conducted in 3 BC. Census was administered between the months of August and October. It's been widely stated that Jesus was 33 and a half upon his crucifixion. Passover / Easter is typically March / April. 3-4 months is not a half year. Couple that with the fact that no shepherd has his flocks out in the field in winter, I believe Jesus was born between August and October. I think it more likely He was born in September, but definitely NOT December!

I have considered what John said in John 1. When Jesus said He was the light of the world. John said the the Light shined in darkness and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father. What feast did Jesus declare to be the Light of the World? I'd like your take on this.
@AZHarleyman-p8j7 күн бұрын
Luke 1 says Jesus was conceived in December and born in September because Zechariah was performing obiah which is in June when Elizabeth got pregnant with John. Then it says in her 6th month Mary got pregnant. Also Revalation 12 gives us a picture of His birth every September in the sky. Just look at Virgo every September. You don't need ancient text. Just read the Bible.

He was conceived during Hanukkah (Feast of Dedication/Festival of Lights - He's The Light of the World) , then The Feast of Trumpets comes along , trumpets announce things , in this case , announcing the upcoming birth of Yeshua , during Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles - a tabernacle is a dwelling - "He became flesh and dwelt among us) , which came nine months after Hanukkah

Wtf Would you think that christ was conceived during a festival celebrating mass murder? Hanukkah isn't a festival of lights. That's a new spin on it. It's the celebration of a genocide. The land of God was born when the lambs of the Earth were born, as the shepherd's watch the flocks at night. Bird, the only time they watched their flux at night is when they are lambing, which is december in january Christ is a celebration of life., not a celebration of death,

Jesus was born on Nisan 1. It is referred to as 'The Begining', as per Leviticus. 'In (on) 'The Beginning' the Word was with God and came down and dwelt among men. Nisan 1 is celebrated as a holy day, just as all the other holy days are celebrated that relate to Jesus' life events. Jonathan Cahn.

Dr Michael Heiser interpreted the prophetic imagery in Revelation of the woman and the dragon astronomically (i.e. the images mentioned were constellations) and found that Jupiter could be the star that led the Magi if the birthday was September 11, 6 BC. I don’t know if I buy it, but it was an interesting thought experiment

There are other bits of information that point to a summer birth in the bible. John baptizing Jesus would have been around his 30th birthday in order to prepare him to be a rabi. Knowing that flocks of people were coming to John for this, it is more likely that they would do this when it is warm outside, not cold.

I really enjoyed your take on when Yeshua was most likely born, but with science, there is actually another possible date. This date of His arrival happened on either August 22nd or September 14th, 7 BCE, depending on the time of day of His birth. The question is, how do we know this date? Well, on these two specific dates, which were initially calculated by the German astronomer Johannes Kepler, Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter all aligned, creating what appeared to be a brilliant new star, which we refer to as the Star of Bethlehem. This same alignment happened again in 1226, which was chronicled by the Church in 1285, which likely lead to Kepler attempting to calculate the previous alignment before that. Anyway, the next alignment in scheduled to occur in 2040.

Its pretty simple read Luke 1:26 which says Gabriel came to Mary in the sixth month Hebrew calender and then do the math. We also have Stelarium where you can look at the star of David which was over Bethlem in June. The Shepherds would not have been tending the flock in the winter. Yeshua was not born in December.

It’s funny how people say it doesn’t matter yet would feel some kind of way if people ignored their actual birthday and celebrated when they wanted to each year. I celebrate the savior but I also don’t down play the truth because of “man’s tradition”. But God said don’t judge so I pray everyone enjoys the celebration of his birth no matter when they celebrate it.💙🦋🙏

There is no need for anything else than the Bible itself to determine when Yeshua was born. And there is certainly no reason for subscribing to anything with a greek name. Hebrew is all that is needed.

If we ask "Why?" He was born, it leads us to another celebration, the Feast of First Fruits. Unfortunately, Christians rarely celebrate it on the correct day. Still we can take comfort in the fact that our Heavenly Father asks us to watch for an even more important day, the day of our Redemption when Jesus returns. Until then for those who believe in Jesus, love God and love your neighbor.

from Gerry- I heard a similar podcast by Jonathan Cahn and his calculation was March 31 6 BC. Lambs are born in the Spring and Jesus is the lamb of God. June or July is too late. Lambing is done long before that. God bless.

How cold and nasty does the weather get in the area of Bethlehem? Putting extensive flocks into shelters would have been problematic. Wool sheds water and provides adequate protection from the cold, so I find the idea that flocks could not have been in the fields in December to be specious at best. Bethlehem is not an arctic climate. Orthodoxy prefers the date of 25 December as it also makes a theological statement, it is an "icon" if you will. If John was born in June (as Orthodoxy teaches), it was around the time of the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. After this day, the days become shorter. 25 December happens around the Winter Solstice, when the days start becoming longer. This lines up beautifully with John's statement; "He must increase while I must decrease".

The temple sacrifices were special and likely placed in Migdal Eder. The tower of the flock as told in Micah. "And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem." Mary births Jesus on the 1st day of Sukkot in the Flock Tower. John the Baptist born on Passover and Jesus 6 months later on the Feast of Tabernacles. "But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;" The early church in an effort to separate Jesus from the Jews have forgotten this.

You should read Pontius Pilate's letter to Caesar because in a private meeting that Jesus had with him before he was arrested Jesus revealed that he was born on the day that Caesar Augustus brought Tranquility to the Roman Empire. Which Google said was about September the second.

Daniel tells us that the Messiah's earthly ministry lasted 3 and a half years. It concluded with the Passover and began when he was baptized by John the Baptizer. According to an insight from a Jewish Rabbi, the proclamation from God the Father signifies that this was also Jesus' 30th birthday. His birthday, therefore, was six months before the Passover, which would put it at the end of September/beginning of October. This is significant. It is significant because that puts his conception right square in the same time of year as Hanukkah (which just happens to be right around Christmas time). So, the Messiah came into the world with the feast of Hanukkah, tabernacled among us with the Feast of Tabernacles, and became the Passover Lamb with the Passover.

In my opinion the best theory about Jesus’ birthday is that He was born on April 17, 6 BCE; based on the astronomy/astrology the Magi would have practiced. On the above date Jupiter (the Royal ‘Star’) was in the east (indicating a royal birth): it was not the Magi but the ‘star’ which was in the east - although as Magi there were Babylonian so they too were in the east. Being in the east meant the ‘star’ was rising into the house (constellation) of Aries (the Ram - symbol of Israel). To the Magi this meant an important king was being born in Israel. The book of Daniel, chapter 9 dates the coming of the Messiah to the time of Jesus. The Babylonian Magi had this information and so this celestial event would have been seen as important. This theory also accounts for the later and second appearance of that star, when Jupiter (the star they saw in the east) went into retrograde - appearing to stand still (Matt 2:9) - on December 19 of that year. The gap between helps explain why they found a child in a house, not a baby in a manger. The Star of Bethlehem: the Legacy of the Magi; Michael Molnar 1999 As to why the gospel writers not mention birth date information; because according to Josephus, in Against Apion, Book II, Chapter 26, the Jews did not celebrate birthdays. And, as was said above, it really had no bearing on the Gospel message - and parchment space was expensive.

You missed the clue that is also there in Luke. He was born during the time that Herod ordered a census for taxes. This required everyone to return to their native towns and that is why Mary and Jospeph travelled to Bethlehem. The census would have been done between Apr-Jul.

In the Roman Empire, December 25th was celebrated as the birthday of the sun god Sol Invictus, which marked the rebirth of the sun after the winter solstice. The church in Rome began celebrating Christmas on December 25th in 336 AD, during the reign of the emperor Constantine. Some speculate that Constantine chose this date to weaken the established pagan celebrations. However, some Latter-day Saints believe that Jesus was born on April 6, 1 BC.
