Sorry for my tardy! Lol see what I did there. This video just took a lot more time than I thought to edit down from 2+ hours of footage (and it’s still longer than I was aiming for) plus I ran into some unexpected copyright issues on KZbin for a couple music videos. Anyway I hope y’all enjoy my reaction as much as I enjoyed the album! 😊 ... P.S. Let me know how y’all feel about the video being this long.

Angel In Disguise is one of the BEST songs Brandy has ever recorded. I'm glad that you're doing this album!
@jerarrinkennerly37994 жыл бұрын
This album brings back soooo many memories. I was mad that you didn't let "Learn The Hard Way" go into "Almost Doesn't Count" because that is one of my favorite transitions lol. Brandy recently said this is her favorite album of hers, but she tends to go back and forth between this and "Full Moon". Great review!
@AnActorReacts4 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah that's one of the downsides of doing reviews like this. But I have since heard the album all the way through and can confirm that transition is smooth! 👌🏾😂 ... I'm excited to hear Full Moon! People keep saying she really stretches her voice on that project. But in my head I'm like she's already doing so much vocally what else is there?! And from what I've seen from the comments these are the two most beloved albums from most fans.
@jerarrinkennerly37994 жыл бұрын
An Actor Reacts yeah her voice is much more in your face on “Full Moon”. I remember she said that Whitney told her to really let it all out, and that’s what she did. I rank her albums: 1. Full Moon 2. Afrodisiac 3. Never Say Never 4. b7 5. Two Eleven 6. Human 7. Brandy

I love these reviews! I think the word you were looking for was nuance. It’s when her voice makes an emotion real. She can also do it on more upbeat tracks like Happy, which makes you feel, well, happy...or the desperation of Have You Ever. Her voice has colors. She makes you feel it.
@AnActorReacts4 жыл бұрын

During verzuz monica was boasting she does her vocals one and done raw. Brandy was like..u do those in one take. She was impressed but at the same time Brandy looks to see how can i do more than a vocal. And thats where she adds so many layers. Its heavily evident on B7. The things she did and does makes her song more memorable than monicas

Angel in Disguise is one of the best lead of songs to an album I've ever heard. Top 3 Brandy song of all time along with Almost Doesn't Count, which is my ultimate number 1 Brandy song. This album is damn near perfect. Truthfully was produced by Darkchild, but the songwriting and co-production (melody and lyrics) were handled by Marc Nelson from Az Yet and Harvey Mason). That's why it sounds a bit different. Everyone loves Put That On Everything lol.

@@AnActorReacts Oh great! My personal favorite Janet Jackson song is "I Get Lonely" off the 1997 Velvet Rope album. But you may want to start with her earlier work. "Let's Wait Awhile" and "What Have You Done for Me Lately" are off her 1986 Control album, which was her breakout. After that album, Janet was on a roll. She's created so much incredible music. Its nothing wrong with music feeling or having a certain sound during its time because that's what gives us that feeling and those memories. Ex: 70s songs can be played today because they are timeless but they still fill and sound like the 70s and that's where the nostalgia comes in and what I love. I believe One Voice is a cover/remake song, its not hers. Everything I Do video is not an official video LOL its fan made, Brandy would never put that out lol esp. with that budget. Brandy has a remix EP and its really good, but if you never heard it there is a Darkchild x Brandy (solo) Boy is Mine Remix ft. Shaunta which is vibey and her voice sounds more mature than the original so you should check that out. Good review
@AnActorReacts4 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree! I love music from a lot of different decades. I think I was trying to say what you just did about songs feeling timeless (instead of something that was just recycled).
