Brang's basic (Wotlk)MM pvp guide.

(PLEASE READ) FAIL GUIDE IS MORE LIKE IT! Tried to squeeze another video with the last few days I had left showing some basic pvp techniques to help you guys out. This video shows which pet to pvp with and what is the MM rotation.
Some of you had trouble understanding what I was doing on my previous videos, and that's because you either don't know the shot rotation or you are used to playing SV or BM. SV is very easy to understand, you use Explosive Shot and Aimed Shot. But as MM you are firing a lot more shots than what you are used to seeing, and in reality I'm just using the same rotation over and over.
As far as speccing MM. There isn't a real MM spec that everybody has to spec, put points where ever you want as long as you get the core abilities. It's all about what suits your play style.
I suggest a few things before speccing MM. Make sure you have a good ranged weapon. KT 10 or 25 man gun or better. I'd also suggest you get about 35ish crit %. The spec relies a lot on gear and crits. Also be sure to be hit capped (5% in pvp).

I will be remaking this video sometime in the future using my friend's hunter. I didn't put any time on this video, made it in 3 hours. So it didn't come out like I wanted to, it only had 1/4th of the info I was planning on giving.

He really outplayed that lock to a tee. He anticipated every single thing the lock was going to do. Opened with what looked like a silence, then he deterrenced as the silence fell and caught the locks deathcoil. Hung around in melee and disengaged as det fell and JUST as the lock casts shadowfury. Amazing stuff, anyone who knows the hunter class and the warlock class can appreciate the skill behind that final skill. He really REALLY outplayed that lock.

in that situation it can be tricky, having a quick reaction time works wonders. if u notice when u hold both mouse buttons down by default u move forward. it takes some practice, but wut u can do when someone is chasing u is run directly away from them by holding down both mouse buttons, jump and turn to face the target with the mouse, and fire ur shot as ur in the air. then after shot is fired, turn back around landing the same way. by using the mouse buttons to move, ur left hand is free.

@kerrybynoe You use the modifier keys to change what skills you cast when pressing a certain button. For example you keybinded a macro containing: #showtooltip /cast [nomod] Aimed Shot /cast [mod:shift] Arcane shot to the key "1" then, everytime you press 1 alone (nomod), you cast aimed shot, but if you hold shift then press 1, you cast arcane shot (mod:shift).

A few questions about your spec and whatnot. 1. Why 3/5 Survivalist rather than 3/3 Surefooted? 2. Why no Rapid Killing or Rapid Recuperation? 3. Does 9 seconds off the CD of Disengage (Via glyph and Survival Tactics talent) really do that much? 4. Why only 2/3 Imp. Barrage? 5. Is 3/3 Entrapment necessary? 6. If your crab is a defensive pet and is on passive most of the time, why do you have some of the DPS talents (Cobra Reflexes, Thunderstomp) on it? 7. Why no glyph of Serpent Sting?

@dopeboyz2111 Your wrong by just saying that. For starters Brang is using a tenacity pet which many MM/SV hunters use. BM tend to use ferocity pets such as spirit beasts and core hounds. Cunning pets are one of the best choices for hunters but their are still other viable options.

i think that serpent sting works like this: the dmg the dot would do is based off of ur attk pwr. that amount is standard. so 40% of that dmg is always gonna be applied instantly with ur chimera shot no matter wut the duration the sting was on for because serpent sting doesnt crit. in other words the serpent sting dmg that WIILL be done is already determined as the shot is applied to the target. all chimera shot does is turn that dmg into an instant burst, and refreshes the serpent sting

another good thing for warrior is use freeze arrowso when they charge u they run straight into the trap. that way u can save ur pin for later :D

@bojiclip1 the macro is just there so you can clean up your action bars, it's the same as having 2 abilities on the bar and having one bound to button1 and the other to shift+button1

You use CS right after SS because CS alone is a huge burst shot, and the 10 second cooldown gives enough time for SS to tick, making your next CS hit harder. It would be a waste to just use SS and wait the 10 secs for only one CS.

It was usually 0/55/16. KZbin won't let me link the talent calculator but the most important things were: Careful Aim, Aimed Shot, Improved Stings, Readiness, Barrage, Trueshot Aura, Master Marksman, Silencing Shot and Chimera Shot. The rest could be personal preference. Also in the survival tree you'd like to take Scatter Shot.

you need to bind keys for the macro but it is possible #showtooltip /cast [nomod] Serpent Sting /cast [mod:control] Chimera Shot /cast [mod:shift] Aimed Shot /cast [mod:tab] Arcane Shot but i use a gamepad so the macro may work differently. just find what works

@ #3, yes. With a Hunter's horrible ability to melee, you must do everything capable of gtfo'ing. @ #7, there's no need to drag out a fight in PvP. I know it makes for higher Chimaera Shot crits, but there's more to do with other glyphs.

Macros, just look them up in a search engin and you can typically find them, I've got one that does Intervene, then RoS on myself.

@SeeHearSpeakNoEvill go with a dog, dogs have lock jaw which is like a crabs pin ability minus damage, crab is still good, spider is common, it still has web, or a monkey has a stun, birds of prey are good for when you are vs a weapon using class, like warriors, rogues or even other hunters, and of course cat is good, with the stealth and bleed. depends on what you want to have for effect, plus you can have multiple pets with you now, so you can take several into a bg and switch it out.

Decrease the chance that you will be critical hited.(cant remember how much.. quited wow not while ago..) very good against all but really gets you out of Spriest's burst and frost mage's frozen burst. Pet can still use RoS even if you are stunned or feared. So its useable all time unless your pet is stunned/killed/feared etc

about the chimera shot comment earlier (jadindahouse) i was under the same impression, that the longer u leave SS up the more dmg chimera shot will do. This is what the spell says about SS - Serpent Sting - Instantly deals 40% of the damage done by your Serpent Sting. So the longer you leave your SS the more dmg gets done, therefore the more dmg for chimera shot?.

@thebrotherschris He chose crab over spider because spider dies way too fast if u put the talents in crab smart u have 40% more healing and Last Stand (similar to druids Survival Instincts I think they are called, basicaly for a while your pet has 30% more health...and will lose it after the effect disapears). Main problem with spider is that people kill it while your healer is in silence (I`m talkin bout arenas), he has almost 0 survivability.
