I only saw ganyu's adepti form the moment i took off my glasses (tired eyes and strained). My eyes focus on a single point like pictures sometimes.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but we've never seen any evidence to prove that Ganyu can actually take that beast form. Pretty sure that since she's only half Qilin, she can't take the Qilin form since only pure Qilin's and adeptus can swap between forms. Ganyu always had only human form. Even in the old anecdotes that we got from Cloud Retainer and Zhongli, none of them mention she was in a beast form. In fact when Cloud Retainer said that she rolled off a mountain and choked a monster to death cuz she was too fatty, it sounds like she was also human at that point.

Fun fact about Heizou's signature dish. His dish is basically a Katsudon, which is a common trope in anime that when the police interrogate thw culprit, they usually serve Katsudon to culprit in case they're hungry.

While I still don't know the exact starting point, it looks like this connection got popularize from the old movie from 1960s about the genius detective making culprit tell the truth with a single bowl of tonkatsu. For the reason as to why it has to be tonkatsu, some says it's for the criminal or yakuza to get warm and hearty feeling after committing their crime and help them admit their wrongdoing. Some even says it's bc the interrogation can go for so long, so they give tonkatsu to the culprit bc it's quite a filling dish. Note: There's another japanese tradition that revolve around tonkatsu. When the school exam is close for Japanese student or when there's a big tournament for sport players, they will order tonkatsu in the day or meal before those events bc the word "katsu" in "tonkatsu" sounds the same as the word "勝つ"/Katsu that means "to win."

Heizou's dish is actually a cheeky reference-- in "good cop bad cop" scenes in japan, instead of the good cop offering coffee or cigarettes, the stereotypical thing to offer is pork katsudon. that's why the description says it gives you the desire to confess and that its a "secret weapon". ^^
