*Street Fighter II’ PLUS* is another CPS1 game for the MD. The home port may not look and sound as good as the arcade version, but the bad thing about the CPS1 original of *Street Fighter II’ Turbo: Hyper Fighting* is that Capcom left out “Dash-mode/Champion-mode” for Normal gameplay, it only has “Hyper-mode/Excite-mode” for Turbo gameplay. (Some players didn’t like the game’s speed very much) The home ports fixed that problem by making both the Champion and Hyper modes available.

Unfortunately, I have an issue with some of your logic that fails to be recognized. Using Daytona USA as an example...the arcade version came out in the USA in 1994. You bring up the fact that there were a number of ports (mostly in 1995 and 1996) that failed to achieve the status you set at the arcade level. This is understandable as the technology of home systems were getting closer, but still not achievable as the technology used in the arcades. However, according to your standards, it took 15+ years to surpass the arcade version. The technology used in the ports is now several generations past the technology used in the arcade. Using technology 3-4 generations newer than older technology, I would expect better graphics, gameplay, and features. How is this a fair comparison? It is equivalent to comparing black-and-white televisions of the 1960s to the color televisions of the 1980s. And yet, you failed to recognize this fact and completely glossed over it to move to the next game.

The better version of Castlevania was that of MSX2 and it came in october of 1986. It didnt have scroll, but it was what Castlevanias have become, not a side scroll action game, but an exploration game where you had to go forward and backwards to get the white key so you could access the next level. It was also graphically better than the NES version.

the soul caliber arcade game was actually quite fun. I spent about four dollars on it before I figured out a few little tricks and played from start to finish with the game using a couple of different characters. Technically you can say the same for most Capcom fighters that were released for the Saturn and Dreamcast, but special mention goes to Street Fighter Zero 3 for the Saturn, exclusively in Japan. It uses the expansion RAM pack, and its so much better than the original arcade. Supposedly it had even more frames of animation than the arcade version itself (though that's debatable) and had the fantastic World Tour and Dramatic Battle modes, plus loads of new characters.

Before the Dreamcast...like way before the Dreamcast. Like 1990, before the Dreamcast with two very important machines. The first being Golden Axe for the Sega Genesis in '89 (thats a one off and why I stated '90 as the main reference point) and the Neo Geo AES. The Neo Geo AES played arcade perfect games with not one or two titles...but every title. They made an arcade cab (MVS) that ran oversized dual PCB board carts that could be changed with other games making it extremely cost effective for arcade owners to operate. These machines when released were absolute monsters that were far cheaper than their closest competitors. Unfortunately, when developing the home version of the MVS, the AES was extremely expensive. In 1990 you could buy a Sega Genesis for the same price as a single AES cart for the Neo Geo. The Neo Geo AES became that mythical console that only friend of a friends cousin had one...or essentially no one had one. I had a Sega Genesis/Sega CD/32X, Super Nes, Nes, Master System, Atari Jaguar, and 3DO during that time...I did not purchase an AES until I was much older. At any rate, arcade perfect games at home were very much a possibility and extended well beyond 11 games. Wow...I am an idiot and I dont want to erase all of this...you said greater than, at least I caught it. Man I dont know what I was thinking, sorry man.
