if not due to this game I won't ever knowing about Ghost In The Shell

Greatest game. I've been playing since my buddy's dad had a cloned copy not long after it came out. I even remember losing my photocopy of the login codes, and thinking I could never play again.

I second that notion. Most annoying enemy in the game.

You have good taste in games. All those games are playable today. I loved Killer Instinct, Super Metroid, Chrono trigger, battle toads, BOB, Secret of Mana, Super Mario 3, Top Gear, Ninja Turtles, Mega man, MK 2, and Street fighter Alpha. Cheers from 82

Really don't understand the weird cute graphics of syndicate on the mega drive compared to the amiga version, especially when the hardware was pretty close between the 2.

Chrysalids, very terrifying, especially the originals. When you have a Chrysalid hatch as you kill a zombie next to you and there are no other soldiers near by, ouch. Chrysalids were nerfed a bit is the 2012 and later in that killing a zombie only killed the zombie, no Chrysalid would hatch.

I spent so much time playing this game on PS when I was a teenager thinking feeling alone while others prefered FIFA and Tomb Raider. I'm glad to see now that I was wrong and we were plenty ;)

I have very fond memories of RR for the PSP and building up the garage. If there was an app to play it, I totally would go back to it!

I was never really a fan of the game. But I got it for free at a LAN party, so I played it. I preferred the 2nd game. Which I also acquired the same way. Along with several others. 🎉LAN Parties🎁🎁

my first and proper experience of Ridge Racer games was Ridge Racer 7 using RPCS3, sucks that i couldn't completed the game at 100% completion. At least I can count Ridge Racer Slipstream and Unbounded as my average Ridge Racer experience but yeah, Ridge 7 is my proper introduction to the Ridge Racer franchise. Great video Bransfield P.S I didn't know you reviewed Ridge Racer Vita a long time ago 21:23

I didn't play it much (I had limited quarters as a kid). I watched others playing it and had fun even just doing that. Standing there watching it and listening to it was enough to have fun.

You're talking about where I say "may zombie jebus have mercy on my ar-soul," I presume. Just wanted to add context to the claim of a 'bigoted religious shot' there.

@@Bransfiiiield fair enough, it stands as such still because of the targeted nature. Regardless it is a decent comparison between the two consoles. I had them both when I was young but I got the Genesis (the cooler name) after the SNES and it always felt like a downgrade. I ended up just always picking the SNES version of games by default. I’m going to flip through the rest of your vids when I have a chance and see if you did any TG16 comparisons. Never owned one but I see them at flea markets and always consider grabbing one. Also I didn’t notice the age on the video, sorry I dragged you into older videos where you aren’t always sure what might have been said.

Namco's other legacy franchises have reached a mainstream appeal that I'm not sure if even Ridge Racer could ever emulate at this point. Tekken's collab with brands Gentle Monster and Nike, Ace Combat's collab with Top Gun. I'm just not sure if Namco wants to take the risk. At most I could see them doing a remake of Type-4 or release a new game that has real world manufacturers included. I've said time and time again that the Ace Combat team should have been put in charge of Ridge Racer.

I played on a bog standard a500, pretty sure there was no darkness on night missions, when I got the pc version it suddenly explained why troops couldn’t see aliens half the time. Also any explosion animations gave the computer a seizure, which meant we never used grenades, rockets etc.

There's also Terminator: Resistance, which is much better than it has any right to be, and is kinda sorta a spiritual successor to Bethesda's Terminator games.

Bethesda? Innovating? What timeline is this?

Man, they made so many interesting games back then, even if not all of them were good, lol. For example, they made X-Race in 97, which was incredibly ambitious for the time - it had a full physics engine like destruction derby, and allowed you to design your own cars.

You checked out WH 40K: Speed Freeks? Don't be deceived by it being F2P. The progression is fair, only charging for cosmetics, you can earn cars with more than earnable challenges, no thousand hours of grinding. Right now it just needs content, but the gameplay is really fun, loving the movement options. It reminds me of an arena shooter.
