"Paying so much?" I think when you look at the price of this car compared to other vehicles in the segment, you'll realize that the Seltos is a tremendous value! I agree that it doesn't have the feature that you're looking for, but that doesn't mean it's not a great vehicle or a great value in the small crossover segment.

I am finding it hard to decide between Seltos and the new 2021 version of the Hyundai Tucson......all i can decipher is that Hyundai Tucson is longer and maybe slightly wider........ yeah, both great but .....Kia>?>?? or HyundaI?

Having test driven both the Sportage and Seltos, I think the Sportage should be a little bigger as it's really splitting hairs when it comes to space for the two

for a less than 45 minutes drive @3x daily, the only thing I need between rhe regular EX & the premium EX is the LED headlights & fog lights. I prefer to do all the upgraded assists by myself

I can't find the 2021 Kia Seltos EX 'Premium' in the USA. It seems to have the electric brake and Auto Hold that the non-EX Premium does not have. Is this true and is the 'Premium' model only in Canada???

Trim lines are definitely different between the U.S and Canada. Most of the time we get the same features, but they can be packaged differently.

It's a shame your camera just isn't cutting it. I had a Nissan Murano, i loved it, but the glare on the display was horrible. There is virtually No glare on any of the Seltos display screens. I've owned both the S model and upgraded to the SX model. Most likely the combination of the horrible fluorescent lights and the camera you have.

The funny thing about glare is that any camera with it's single lens, will show more glare than your eyes see with two eyes spaced apart. The camera that I use is actually pretty good, but you're absolutely right, the display screens on Kia vehicles are excellent. We had a used Honda Civic in the bay today, and the glare on that screen is not good.

I am very disappointed with my new Kia Seltos. The first thing I told my salesman is that I travelled a lot and did not want a vehicle with road noise. When you try out a car, even if you take it out for a test drive, you don’t hear the noise like you do on an open road. Little did I know that I was driving a Soul with a different body. Another item that I can’t get any answer for is the two trip meters. When you stop to get gas or eat at a restaurant, one trip meter restarts itself. Kia tells me that it is working as designed. I would like to know what purpose does that serve?

I just want to be clear for our other viewers that you didn't buy this car from us. It sounds like some better communication could have happened during the sales and delivery process. As far as your trip meters, there are a lot of options. One of the trip meters does register just the trip from when you turned the car on until you turned the car off, but there are others that work in a more traditional manner. I think the car can do what you're expecting, but it may have some extra functionality that you don't find as useful. I always tell people that modern vehicles are like cell phones. They do 100 things, but most users only need them to do 20 things. The issue is that the 20 things that you want it to do, may be a different 20 things than what someone else may find beneficial. We're regularly making videos to explain the tech in these vehicles, hopefully some future videos will help make sense of everything.

@@BrantfordKia , you are correct, I did not buy this car from your dealership. This Seltos is the fourth car that I have purchased from a dealership. I have owned a Sorrento, Optima and a Sportage. It is my fault that I didn’t stick with the Sportage. I am trying to relay to potential buyers that the Seltos is not the best choice if you want a great road car, the Sportage is. The other point that I was trying to make is that the trip meters do not work. If you are taking a long trip as I did from Texas to Canada, I had one meter for the entirety of the trip and one for each fill up. All prior Kia’s, Toyota’s, Fords that I have owned were designed to work that way. The hesitation at stoplights is another feature that I am sure is because of the idle down that is featured on this Seltos. I am stuck with this car for three years and will consider leaving the Kia family at that time.

Does anyone know what music files the infotainment system will play? MP3 is not good enough. I would like to listen to my AAC, Wav or FLAC music files.

It will play MP3 for sure. It also plays music from an iPod or another Bluetooth-enabled device, but I don't know all the types of files off the top of my head. The best thing to do is to bring your music to the dealer and try it out yourself.

I have a new 2021 Kia seltos and I was wondering the back brakes when you apply them tend to make a drag noise What is that I just had my first tire rotation in first oil change and it is still making that noise

I'm not a technician and I am definitely not skilled at diagnosing things online. I do recommend that you contact your service department to make sure that there isn't an issue. Sometimes what you're describing can be as simple as a little bit of corrosion build up on the rear disc rotors which is normal, and can happen especially if the car has sat for a while. Applying the brakes firmly a few times can usually clear that up, but please don't assume that's the case. It's possible that something is out of adjustment and needs to be looked at.

Did I hear that with FCA is EX, it should be able to apply AEB? I do not see it working in my Seltos EX, and i reached out to Barrie service centre, and they say, EX is not equipped with AEB as radar is not there.

Barrie is incorrect. If you have lane-keeping assist, (which you do) then you have a camera that looks forward (it's mounted behind the rearview mirror on the windshield). That camera is capable of seeing vehicles in front of you, and it is capable of stopping the vehicle. If you have the radar plate, it's capable of seeing more than just vehicles. Now, when you say that you can't see it working.. GOOD! You should test this like you test your car's airbags.. DON'T TRY IT!! If the vehicle senses that you're in control, it can decide to NOT activate, and to let you continue to drive (maybe you want to hit that car, in order to avoid the kids running out on the road etc!) The system, when it does decide to activate, is going to wait until the last possible second to brake, and then it brakes VERY aggressively. It's designed to avoid the collision, but at the very least, it should help minimize a collision. It's not something that you should be trying to test. I hope that helps!

@@BrantfordKia thanks, I never meant to test it. I should have been clear stating that I never experienced it working. I have driven some other vehicles with same features in highways, when car is in crusie mode, and if vehicle in front slows down, the car auto applies break to slow down. However, with EX, it hasn't been the case. Of course I can't prove it not working for obvious reason.
