The only option is, we as Odias should gradually scrap all silver and steel utensils at our home and move to brass and bell metal (kansa) utensils. Science has proved multiple times that cooking and eating in "kansa" utensils is next best to cooking in earthen pots and have enormous health benefits. The only reason this was abandoned and steel/silver took over, was because of the later's lighter weight and shiny appearance. But now people are being aware about silver/steel utensils bad effects, such as Cancer.

Do online business and promote as much as you can through ads

There should be an online platform where the artisans can sell it globally and promote the ways they can be used in the interiors design/Home. I feel there are lots of people in the world/India who are keen on keeping the Indian Art & Crafts alive.Even the Odisha Government should also look into the artisans growth and well being.

First form a cooperative society. (Here the State Govt has a huge role to play. To nurture these craftsmen' talent and provide them with basic amenities(health, education and food and electricity)and keep them on minimum payroll to help them stay afloat even during off-season.) Then tie up with big Online giants like Flipkart and Amazon so as to maximize their artwork's reach and get them their due credit and worth. It's not that difficult Bhai, we already had Mr. Verghese kurien change the way milk societies used to operate in Anand and establish an indigenous brand which later went on to become an household name- AMUL. What matters is the right attitude and few good honest officers with fire in their belly to stretch the ends together and make things better. Wish we had a Govt who could do more than just ban apps and chinese products from the market.

I have been thinking of it since long out of sheer love for a valuable product that was an industry once. I think a team has to work on it, market it for contemporary usage by the masses without modifying its quality or the price. Highlight it's value in terms of health benefits, artistic heritage, cultural heritage. But there has to be sustained effort by a team of dedicated people who care not just about the industry but also the intelectual capital and welbeing of the people involved. It has to be holistic

One place suggestion to you Justvish: there is a place called amarda road air strip which is quite near to Jaleswar town in Balasore district. Its a place I feel is of historic significance and can be promoted for tourism if developed well. Unfortunately the local government is either unaware or turning a blind eye towards it. I have posted few pics and small write up of the place on FB few years back and also on Wikipedia page. You may get more info of it online. Request you to assemble more information, prepare a vlog and share with us if possible:)

This video was great...the music complemented the whole emotion that was intended to achieve with this video...recently I came across bamboo water bottles from Tripura that they are marketing beautifully, a local item sold all over India..I wish same could have been done for these Brass work artisans and the Raghunathpur artists...it would be very succesful only if somebody could invest time and money into their work..
