Youn conditioned them once a month with just normal wear? From what Ive read, that sounds excessive. I like the color change - be careful to not over condition them. I love Grant Stone boots. They are top quality!!

You are right, conditioning once a month would be excessive under normal circumstances. But for the Patina Thunderdome I was wearing them hard, so each month they would dried out. I condition my footwear every six months normally with one application of leather conditioner. Thank you for the comment and best wishes for you.

Hiw do i enter this competition? I have a pair of bramd new nicks boots. I put 10 to 15k steps a day at work. I have to wear black boots at work and black never wins bc the change isnt as dramatic in pictures but id be in the top finishers.

This color will not patina well.

I was hoping to develop more color on them, It didnt happened but they did fine. With time they will get darker but that patina challenge is now done. Thank you for your comment. Best wishes for you.
