if it's too much mass to heat up, you could just remove the top part of the duck stand, so it would heat up faster. Nevertheless i like the work you've done.

Hi! Will it damage the duck foot if you leave the flapper on when putting the horn in the case? I'm concerned about mashing the metal of the horn. I know it can be folded, but in your opinion should it be removed with the Allen wrench or is that not necessary?

Hi - Depends on the case and space inside to be honest. You definitely don't want it pressing against it. In some occasions we've cut a tiny bit out of the case lining to accommodate it. Depends on how new/expensive/precious the case is though :)

Are these removable easily

Hi - The resting arm can come in and out easily for storing in the case. If you're referring to the whole unit then yes and no. It can be unsoldered easily but would leave a small mark which you could polish up.
