I used one bottle of t11 and 050 ( 4 cap fulls) together and the results were amazing! No more yellow orange brassy hair! Great video btw 😊

What developer did you use by chance? Was this to freshen up already bleached and faded toner?

The toner doesn’t lighten your roots. The 20 vol developer did. 20 lifts hair. You need to use 10 or under with the toner. It wouldn’t lift your brown roots then

10 still lifts roots and gives you hot roots and I hate it. I love using 10v as it is less harsh but yes it still lightens roots

@@artsyfartsystuff4277 10 volume developer with a toner should not give you hot roots. 10 volume with bleach will, but not toner. If your toner with 10 vol is giving you hot roots that’s very uncommon. If so, though, try a 5 volume.

@@bye230 yes it does. But that’s because it’s a permanent hair color so it says to use a 20 volume with it. It’s intended then to lift the roots/hair in general to give it a light/brighter look!! But if you use it as a toner and don’t want it to lighten your hair you can’t use 20 volume, you have to use 10 or even lower so it’s only depositing the pigment to tone the hair and not lift it! So I use a 5 vol or 6 vol with my toner.

Thank you!!!❤️ The box recommends 30-45mins For me it wasn’t as dark as it looked and a bit washed out. It depends really on your hair type. My hair has a really hard time absorbing anything so I left it in longer. I believe I did 50mins. Good luck!!!!(:

Too much 050 added too high of a developer too, I think you should darken your root colour x

Volume 20 lightened your roots not the toner! Next time use 10- deposit only

When she went into the process, her hair had some pretty significant orange and yellow tones. So the 20 volume wouldve lifted those tones right??? But what wouldve happened if she used 10 volume? Would it have lifted those tones?? I ask because Im going thru the exact same thing!!! Ive gotten out most of the orange and now its a stagnate yellow but im at about a level 8. Should I be using a 10 volume dev?? Also could she go in with a demi and darken those roots??
