Bratz is planning a MAJOR COMEBACK in 2024

Wow, I wasn’t expecting to be featured in this video. Thank you Clawdeena for highlighting and addressing some of my experiences, from discovering the doll community on Flickr, to my success as a fashion illustrator/designer, which led to my collab with Bratz. Definitely a nostalgic trip down doll memory lane & a great discussion to have about the ups & downs of how you can be treated by people in the doll community once you start to become successful. I’ve addressed it as some know, but it was incredibly hurtful when I was treated that way by certain individuals, who went out of their way to basically spearhead a hate campaign against me so that other people in the community wouldn’t support my collab. IMO, you hit the nail on the head. It came from a place of envy, spite, and I believe racism in some cases. A lot of gaslighting & masquerading as “constructive feedback” but ultimately was very much bullying & it was something I was not really prepared for because I hadn’t done anything to deserve/warrant it in the slightest. My reputation in the doll community was always a positive one, so when I was blamed for things beyond my control, lies were spread or people were trying to assassinate my character, I felt I had to stand up for myself. Nonetheless, I am now forever part of Bratz history & that is something that can never be erased by any of the individuals who tried to diminish it. Being a British & black/mixed race creative and getting the opportunity to design my own Bratz line is something incredibly iconic to me personally & I put my heart & soul into working on it. I will forever be grateful to the people who have been genuinely kind/supportive from the beginning to now, and even the ones that sincerely apologised later on. I wish people were more compassionate & thought before typing & how what you say could potentially impact someone. As cliché as it may sound, just be kinder! I’m also so happy to see the Bratz brand thriving again 💜💜💜💜

I remember being a kid (pastors son) and there was this girl in church who had hundreds of bratz dolls and we used to sneak off and play with them haha. Occasionally she’d help me sneak one to my house lmaoo. That was the start of me loving fashion dolls

The Hayden situation was so unserious bc now ppl are crying, snotting, begging on their knees for him to design a new bratz line bc they didn’t get a chance to get the 2018 line and they’re salty and they got tired of the repros , maybe if y’all weren’t being NASTY he could’ve been a mainstay on the bratz creative team and we could’ve got more bratz x Hayden lines, but the girls wanted to be jealous and weird

THIS! I love my Hayden Williams Bratz and I am so thankful that I was able to get all five. They are all gorgeous and it was so cool that Cameron was included as he to my knowledge is the only Bratz Boy collector doll. If people weren’t such jealous bitches we could have got a series 2 with Dylan, Meygan, Dana or Felicia. But nope because people have to ruin good things.

The frustration of experiencing such a mass amount of people behave pseudo-altruistically is real 😅 I've spent about the past 2 years researching media psych as a project and there's so many more terms that I think if more people knew them and how to identify them, when we spot that type of behavior it'll be easier to lessen the impact and hopefully inspire more critical thinking and connection.

I just got my first Bratz and I finally get it. I get that the size of feet makes them stand on their own. I get the fashionability and the quality. I got a repro Felicia and the skin tone is gorgeous. I also grabbed the PRIDE set second hand with every item except the Roxxi doll, so my Felicia is dating Nevra. 💖 I grabbed a Chelsea My Scene recently too because I had one as a child, but I don’t like her as much as my Bratz. I can’t wait to see what happens this year.

there was lots of diversity with barbie, her friends were theresa , lea , kira, christy. They even had an exclusive "all black" doll line (my favorite) featuring trichelle and grace dolls...this was all before the 2000s

Bratz were my thing! I loved their super detailed, unique, high quality clothes and cute accessories and other items. Barbie was super lame and too princess-like doll in my eyes, our barbies had only princess dresses and they all were blonde. Bratz had much more variation in every way and they had way more personality! I was a big fan of Yasmin dolls, my sister had Sasha, Nevra and Cloe. I wish to buy Megan some day. 😍

At 50, I'm thinking it's funny how the generation of parents that as kids, grew up with Siouxsie Sioux, and 'Like A Virgin', Madonna, had a big problem with Bratz for their children. That being said, initially I was like 'wtf', when the dolls came out, for all of 5 minutes. Then I watched the tv shows, played the PS2 games, and bought the dolls! ^^

As a New Bratz fan, I got into Bratz around late 2020 to 2021 and have a few dolls I agree that new fans should be welcome instead of bickering about certain aspects because, at the end of the day, we all like this brand and most of the arguments are pointless and so unserious sometimes. I remember I got bashed because I thought the campfire line had Sasha in it and I mistaken her for Felicia😓. I do believe that Bratz is going to dominate this year just because Bratz has been using some smart strategies and marketing during their 20th anniversary up to the present I feel like it will just continue to get better. I also find it very suspicious that MGA rebooted Rainbow High and stopped putting money into LOL Surprise and put all their focus on Bratz same thing at Mattel with Barbie, Monster High, My Scene, and possibly Ever After High coming back this is about to be a doll war for real.

Once again if parents think the dolls look slutty. Than why buy them for younger kids ? These Bratz dolls were made for teenagers and older. If I remember right ? I'm always gonna say this. If you don't like how the dolls look. Don't buy them. It's not other people's job to raise your kids! The parents should be the one to tell their kids to not copy other people, movies or toys. I swear handful of parents gotten lazy over the years and started blaming plastic and other people for their kids bad behavior. When it's the parents fault for not raising the child right all in the end. I know everyone can see what the doll looks like in the box, at the store or online. So why buy it still for your child. If it's not appropriate for your child to play with? That is on you, not on them. I wish some of this parents would get that through their heads. I hope Bratz are here to stay for good. So many teenagers and adults love these Bratz and other dolls. Don't buy these Bratz dolls for younger children. If you think it's not appropriate for them. Problem solved. Don't buy it.

Something about Bratz and Monster high getting rebranded because they were seen as inappropriate but like those parents still bought the dolls for their kids. I saw these dolls as like coming of age dolls when your nearing the end of the toy phase between 9-12. Im not really a doll collector but i feel like i missed out so much by not having bratz as a kid and i kinda wanna get one now 😭 i found an old clawdeen doll still in the box when i moved a few months ago and- idk if this is bad but i wanted to take her out of the box to display her and ever since then shes been sitting on my tv stand and i love her so much. I always liked Bratz because of their oomph factor. There was something about Bratz that Barbie didn't have or she had but it was way too expensive in her collecter edition dolls. I never heard my parents say anything about Bratz dolls looking too sexy. Cause you know what it is? A doll. I had an entire box and let me tell you this box was huge full of bratz dolls cause I was obsessed with them. I even had a bratz car and ended up mixing my bratz dolls with my mh dolls. My bratz being normies and my mh dolls being monsters. And I would have Deuce drive Cleo around in my Bratz car lol. I mean I can see where people come from with the sexy thing, but it’s a toy so why are we sexualizing dolls?
