GTA4’s FIB Buffalo literally inspired me as a kid to acquire a 2010 Dodge Charger retired police car (painted black) to be my first car out of high school. They are forever engrained in my mind as the most intimidating, quintessential police cars ever. I used the spawner cheat for entire playthroughs. Then in 5 they gave it that DISGUSTING body kit you can’t remove so I refuse to touch the thing. If I could just get the civilian version to look like the police one, I would literally still be driving it in Online to this day.

There was a glitch to remove the body kit in the ps3/Xbox 360 version of online. But they patched it when they ported it over to the next generation

Yea, they should've just left the regular Buffalo stock and had the Buffalo S be the one with the bodykit. Thankfully, there is a mod to revert it back to stock.

Not mine. Mine was the humble Albany Emperor. It was metallic white and had chrome muscle car wheels. Still have it to this day and have no intention of ever getting rid of it. A lot of good memories with it.

I remember buying my Buffalo S brand new when the 2011 model year rolled around and the first models were being sold at my local Shyster dealer. I swapped the 4 cylinder out for a 450ci V8 from a Gauntlet that the previous owner had wrapped around a tree. The exhaust note was so thunderous that my neighbor's bathtub collapsed through the floor and crushed him while he was watching The Underbelly of Paradise.

It's definitely weird seeing that the engine bay model they used in both the buffalo brought over from GTA 4, and the S, is a 4 banger. Going off the engine sounds they have has always screamed that the one from 4 is a v6, and the S is a v8

You might disagree with the Buffalo S being classified as a muscle car, but I am quite fond of its design and the aggressive look it held with its front bumper, and the fact that it has a 6.4L V8? Better call Los Santos Customs, Hao's, Beeker's or whoever can stockpile some tires, because I am about to shred many of them.

So how exactly does one find a standard Buffalo with the shortened bumpers and skirts like the one shown here? I can never see one in the traffic and the one you buy has the obnoxious sport bumpers and skirts come as standard. I would love to have just one modern muscle car that I can drive around while doing work that isn't overly-stylized.

Unfortunately this is a modded variant of the Buffalo, as far as I know the Buffalo you see in the video was the beta version. You can see billboards in GTA IV that show the car without the extensions.. The in-game exceptions being the TBoGT Police cruiser and the FIB Buffalo, added cosmetics are a deal-breaker for me too, can't have one in my garage.

@@virtualcarchive Yeah, I figured shortly after posting that comment that it was a mod. It really sucks too since the lore-related reason you mentioned is not much of an excuse for it not existing since the FIB prefers using Grangers over Buffalos in GTAO. The IV Buffalo and the PMP 600 may not be popular faves but they still deserve to be in the game.

I'll always hate that we can't get the stock first generation Buffalo in online without the ugly skirts. I don't get Rockstar's obsession with skirting every car and making things sit annoyingly close to the ground. I hope in GTA 6 we get more normal looking bumpers on cars and the option to lift suspension instead of just lowering it. Some people might wanna live outside the city where there's worse roads or dirt roads but still have nice cars that don't constantly scrape the ground on every rock or pothole. Even some of the so-called 'offroad' vehicles have annoyingly low suspension and constantly scrape on rocks and potholes!

For that video, I used RED-ITA's: Traffic Plus+ mod. I've since switched to Skysder's: Enhanced Traffic Experience as it uses fewer dlc cars/ones without LODs to keep the performance up. I try to list all the mods used in the video in the description. Hope this helps!
